Nichols put up a huge eff performance. Unfortunately its hard to win games in the cfl completing 5 passes in a half. If this was US football, he would have had a great game. But it isnt.

Not just safe, all too often terrible play calls. The reverse on 2nd and inches, the awful designed inside run flip pass junk etc.

2)Jefferson is invisible to the refs....that's the only way they didnt see the mugging he took on a regular basis.

They both aren’t good enough.  Clearly Nichols is a huge limit on what the offense can do.  Can’t run RPO’s because there’s no R...mid range pass game is basically nil, we need to rely on misdirection to get the ball into the hands of guys who can do the rest.  A guy like Matthews is gonna have a hell of a time getting balls in this offense and we’re going to be disappointed with what he does after the catch on the short ones.

Both. Some times plop and nichols complement each other some times they make things worse multiplicatively. Imo its plops job to adjust and compensate for nichols. And not nichols job to compensate for plop.

But it was good enough. Winning isnt a qb stat, but it's the only one that matters. They played thebonly game they could today and won. End of story.

Its football. Sometimes you take the hit to make the play. If you can't do that when you need a 1st down to run out the clock... Its time to move on.

Injuries are part of the game as well. Guys still go for the head. We saw that with Usher tonight. We saw that with Lawrence two weeks ago. Qbs don't unnecessarily expose themselves to headshots. They are told to slide.

We won. But Harris wasnt good enough. And fenner wasnt good enough. And nichols, and jefferson. Winning doesnt excuse that.

Its true, but with the game on the line you have to have the poise to step up into the pocket. Nichols needs to refind that.

All in all it was the D man....played lights out  (maybe a few break downs by our D'b's a few times ) BUT generally a solid effort...Nichols better shake all of their hands after that one

I dont get how ppl can justify Nichols play the last season and a bit now. 

Oh well.

But it's not all about playing safe... we had full momentum and a nice lead and they call that bull **** 2nd and short play that completely turned the game around on us.
