  • The Diversity Is Strength campaign is one of the best things the CFL has ever done!!! Players and fans all loved it. By far the highlight of Ambrosie's reign.

  • Collaros is 4-15 since returning from injury... including the 0-8 from last season. This is a guy who has never played more than 14 games in a season and never thrown over 3500 yards.  He has bee

Well, after the Banjo Bowl.....Boomer should of really been shown the door......

I'm pretty sure he's familiar with it- its how he comes and goes.

A shakeup is required now and then.....

The Bombers almost recovered two kickoffs in Edmonton kicking into the wind because their returner was standing at the 5 waiting for the ball, which came down at the 30.  That's pretty brutal coaching.

I agree, but the STC is the least of their worries. I'm skeptical when Mass says relieving Cory McDiarmid of his duties may spark the team.

Chris Matthews signs in calgary....this could be interesting

so obviously he has CFL interest...and why we didn't bring him back based on our lack of receiver out put just baffles the mind

We claimed to have no interest and were happy with our guys...Like Lankford and Wshington who we don't really dress or use properly when we do

Why would we not look at a guy like Matthews?

Why do you assume they didn't?

we said in the media we had no interest in bringing him in...dumb....so dumb

I actually hope he lights us up when we play CGY

Total assumption on my part but given our history of not bringing guys in mid season, it seems like a fair assumption.

Well, that's not really a legit excuse either...

Either they didn't look at him at all or they couldn't close a deal... either way, no one can say Chris Matthews would not help this team

Who did?  Can only recall it being brought up on message boards.  Can't find any media related to Matthews and the Bombers since 2015.

it was tweeted out at some point that Walters said the Bombers had no interest in Mathews...wasn't message board assumptions...that is why this team flounders...they don't constantly upgrade when opportunity arises and show too much loyalty to whatever scrub makes it out of TC

Maybe.  He's not exactly going to be ready to play with 4-7 games left.  Who knows what he wanted for money?  He's also a free agent.

He was god-awful the last season he played here.  He could be a difference-maker, or he could play one game and spend the rest of the season standing on the sideline trying to get into CFL/game shape.

The game is based on 'could be'...  that's why you sign guys.

He was hurt his last year here and it was amazing he made it on roster each game from what I hear....and pretty sure he could step right in and play...

Knowing nothing about Matthews who hasn't been on a roster for about a year.  We'll see if he can play or not with a half dozen games left for any team.  It's not like signing a guy who played this year or even went to training camp this year.  If he wanted $15,000/game for the last 4 weeks would you give him that?  Calgary is desperate.  Yes the Bombers should probably be too, but I don't know how you integrate that guy into a team this late in a way that lets him make an impact.  He'll be one hell of a special teamer from his time in the NFL anyway.

Based on what?

Who knows if he was even interested in being here?

Too many assumptions to run down the regime.  Run them down on a lot better counts.

guys don't sit around on couches these days and do nothing...they are training constantly 24/7 for another shot

And it would be easy to integrate a skill set like that in a lineup pretty seamlessly...it's not like he has never played the Canadian game

Good luck to him moving from the gym to -10 celsius.  Saw what happened to Plesius here signed out of the gym, 3rd kick cover and he was down for half a season.

and no...it's pretty easy to run down our regime for their lack of continually evolving the roster...they even say it as much themselves about being happy with their guys....on many occasions

Great teams continually bring guys in who they think are an upgrade...and obviously he had interest in playing up here as he has signed.

I'

If we are going to add, and likely go over the cap, I'd rather trade for someone who has been playing.  Too much risk pulling someone in at this point who hasn't played in a very long time and really hasn't played meaningfully in even longer than when he was last on a roster.

Meant interest in playing with the Bombers.

guys in the states...and ones with hopes of furthering their careers when a chance pops up don't just train in the gym...i know from experience and are continually playing mock games with others, training in elite facilities and are game ready....Pretty sure Plesius wasn't doing that.

Don't blabber on about things that you don't really know about
