  • The Diversity Is Strength campaign is one of the best things the CFL has ever done!!! Players and fans all loved it. By far the highlight of Ambrosie's reign.

  • Collaros is 4-15 since returning from injury... including the 0-8 from last season. This is a guy who has never played more than 14 games in a season and never thrown over 3500 yards.  He has bee

Feel free to bring up a specific play where you feel a fine was warranted. I am open for a discussion on it. Ya I am a rider fan, so obviously I am wrong

15 yards for existing.

5 yards for malodourance.

I'm so waiting for your team to disappoint you like they always do. So, I can laugh the way I did when you had 13 men on the field & lost the Grey Cup. How hurt were your feelings that day? That was maybe the funniest thing I ever saw as a football fan. All the Rider fans that day crying at the end of the game. Awesome!

I didn't cry but was definitely crushed that day. I wouldn't trade one of the darkest days in our teams history for not being a fan of my team. I was there then and am still here now. Its called being a fan.

Thanks for proving my point

That's an extra 15 yards for sanctimony.

I'm not sure about this reffing. Seems a bit shady

I said that a few times on Saturday lmao

I say that every game we have played for the last 50 years

The hit on Lulay did not get a penalty at the time. That ref crew needs to do better.

If the player gets fined and the ref doesn't call it, perhaps he needs to get fined too.

I didn't say you weren't. I just know I had a lot better time celebrating Kavis's ST gaffe that cost you guys a championship than you did watching your team rub our nose in it last week.

Again, we don't bring in CFL veteran talent during the season.  As crazy as that is. Other teams sign players & yet we sit pat happy with who we have on the roster. Players get very comfortable playing here.

It's called O'Sheaism.

Not surprised.

Riderfans.com is the “Official” referee-bashing/complaining forum of the CFL..

Calgary just signed Cory Greenwood.

I believe that you are suffering from a severe case of monachopsis.

Right, and coaches should be fined too for not challenging it. *sarcasm*

In case you missed it, Wally said he was told by his spotters not to challenge the hit on Lulay.

At some point we need to realize that officials work in real time, often in the line of fire. After having the opportunity to do the extensive review the opportunity to fine becomes more realistic and practical.

If they did that coaches would never throw a flag in fear of not having the flag in case a fineable offence did happen later in the game.

It shouldn't rest on a coach's decision to challenge. The refs represent the league. It's not that hard to have a ref watching for this.

Have the eye in the sky key on this. This is an issue of brain damage, not first down ball spotting.

The hit on Lulay was sickening. As are all of these head shots.

Also.... the NFL ejected a player on the weekend for a head shot.

Why can't the CFL figure out that's a good idea?

The league is doing better with this, but needs to do more.

If the eye in the sky can call down to manufacture offsetting objectional conduct penalties, surely they can do the same for headshots.

Really? They’ve done that?

Yes. To us. At the Banjo Bowl.

Edit: Or was it Labour Day? One of those two. The Riders got a penalty, and then the command center called down and added one to the Bombers.

Did they really add one to the Bombers, or were they just reviewing the whole situation so it was handled properly ?

Wow. Well, sarcasm notwithstanding, I thought it was a league mandate to call all hits to the head and/or hits with the crown of the helmet. The hit on Lulay was both. For it to be ignored by the officials was preposterous and if I was Wally, I'd be asking my spotters what they hell they were looking at. If that play is reviewed, I am 100% convinced it would have resulted in a penalty. I mean, when TSN showed it again in slow mo, it looked like a penalty to me. He used the crown of his helmet, drove it into Lulay's chest and followed through to Lulay's chin. Heck, they could have used that clip as a training video for referees. *sarcasm*
