Sorry but I don't like the total silence coming out of Bomberville, but that's just me; I like action and news  like all of you.  Yes we've extended a contract or two and we are distributing the year-end money before the 2018 salary cap  comes in.

But what are the deep thinkers in our organization planning to do?

 I hope they are not thinking status quo; that never seems to work out well. Unless we are dedicated to making sharp improvements here and there, I believe we atrophy from last year.  

After the 2017 NFL cuts were made did we bring in any linebackers for a sniff? I saw other prospects up here but maybe I missed something.

We have got to fix what's broken and I think somehow management must know more than we do ... we are good prognosticators with our comments on this site but I would like management to show us up. 

We are not hearing a lot of news out of the Calgary and Edmonton football clubs so maybe our Blue Bombers are an elite club now (as we join those two in their silence). 

But man I hate twiddling my thumbs as I wait to see what our local gurus are going to do. No news is bad news, say the bored ...  Well at least were not coming off seasons like Ottawa Hamilton and Montréal had.

So maybe I should be grateful for our club and its management.

He was awful in 2017 too...  could have been due to the coaching mess, I suppose

Speaking of Walters, saw him walk into the stadium as I was dropping mail off. The guy was dressed like a homeless guy but I guess that's when he gets his best work done lol.

Remember how Taman was? And Walters has a whole team of people around him in his department....Taman got NOTHING. Zero budget. Point being, this time of year is real tough on GMs/Player Personnel types...

lol. My son was at a football camp at the soccer complex over the Christmas holidays. His kid must have been there too, b/c I saw him there a couple of times. Same thing...running shoes, sweatpants,  and a one week beard.

I bet they could get him for reasonable deal to back up Harris

The Bombers would be the obvious place for La France to land, ball is in Blue Bombers court and he won't get anything near what he got from the Riders.

Wonder how much a player saves in a season by playing in their hometown?

I still think there's some really stupid teams out there who might overpay for what he did in one playoff game......

Well, we know one stupid GM has already had to cut him after paying too much.

He's not worth taking a chance on as a ratio breaker. You need a Canadian to start in front of him. I guess he could sign behind Messam?

No you don't. He's serviceable as an in-game replacement and saves a team from using a di spot on a backup American rb.

Absolutely this....Demski I'd spend money on, and LaFrance only if he comes cheap.....

LeFrance can back up Harris, play STs, and perhaps fill Flanders' spot if they ever run into ratio trouble at other positions.

 

I GUESS for the amount we used Normand we could sign Lafrance as his replacement...he can take rotational reps in game and not affect the ratio and saves us using a DI designation for whatever Import running back we choose to dress be it Flanders or Bauman

If he fits into the SMS system as a national back-up/rotational piece he would be worth the look
