Training camp is over .... adjustments have been made  and its time for the opening kickoff

Anybody change their minds on how preseason changed their expectations for this year .... Montreal thrashing Ottawa changed mine .... cutting Willy raise my hopes for the Argos .... Edmonton looks stronger than I first thought and Regina even worse

For the first time in years I am forecasting Winnipeg finishes first in the league  .. just an optimistic hunch .... I forecast these final standings:

Winnipeg

Calgary

Vancouver

Edmonton

Ottawa

Montreal

Toronto

Hamilton

Regina

 

 

 

 

Who is going to  give up a starting Canuck? Maybe a team which is already out of the playoffs- Hamilton and Toronto? I would love to see a home-grown upgrade on Hurl, but I do not see how that would be possible.

Sadly, nobody's out of the playoffs in the East.....

Unfortunately- I don't think NFL cuts are going to turn this D around.

All the guys who would give us a significant boost on D were PR'd

My guess is they will be activating Wild. Maybe one of the Knoxs will go to PR.

It would be nice to have Wild back since Knox is a disappointment so far.  

That doesnt solve our problem on how to put back Poop in the lineup though.

Hardly blame him for wanting to go back to the Esks. Or, at least, giving them the first opportunity to sign him.

Let's just hope they lowball him and he takes calls from other teams.

I mean yes Walker is great. But their receiving core is already solid and the least of their worries. They need help on the o-line and on the defensive side of things. Walker won't come cheap. He'll likely be one of the higher/highest paid receivers in the league. If Edmonton really wants to roll the dice with their current o-line and defense then so be it.. Because I don't think Walker is enough to put them over the top and it doesn't do enough to hide their short comings.

Solly for Oka and Hurl.

We can keep saying it till we are blue in the face, they won't be replacing Hurl, Knox or the weak links in the secondary until we are out of the playoffs or the offseason, that is the way they have rolled from day 1.

Bond was brought in to bolster the O line during the season not when we were out of the playoffs or at seasons end. 

Wiki said we signed Bond in March of 2016?

IIRC, he got injured and wasn't able to start until week 6.
