EDMONTON ESKIMOS @ HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

GAME DAY NOTES...

Edmonton - no Adarius Bowman

Hamilton - The Ticats have given up a league worst 512 yards per game on defence

Referees - have been told to keep their lapels tight and well kept as Ticat DB Will Hill has served his 1 game suspension and returns tonight.

By The Numbers

2 – Interceptions for Richard Leonard heading into Week 5, ranking second in the league behind Winnipeg’s T.J. Heath.

5 – Consecutive regular season victories for Edmonton dating back to last regular season.

27 – Passing yards Mike Reilly needs to pass Esks head coach Jason Mass for 38th all-time in CFL history.

424 – Season high-net offence Hamilton recorded against the Lions in last week’s loss. The Ticats averaged just 208 yards through their first two games.

Six of the last seven meetings between Hamilton and Edmonton have gone down to the last three minutes with 13 lead changes. All six of those games had final results decided by fewer than eight points.

Riley does take a lot of punishment..its going to accumulate on him and he will be out of lineup sooner than later

I'll go with sooner.

...Because all right thinking Quarterbacks spend their downtime dressing like an extra from a Kubrick film.

Just one of many HITS on the QB previously known as Mike Reilly..

Another bullshit coaches challenge.

And another Epic meltdown by Hamilton.....

Whoo Hazelton just saved my lock of the week with a whole 23 seconds left!  Should save me in the pick em pool too!

Collaros just plays scared now. Like Drew Willy. The Ti Cats defense just can't defend the bigger & physical Esks receivers.

Its hard not to laugh at this game

Man other than their d-line Hamilton's D is putrid. Like rotting carp putrid.

Called it!

The teams are so strong in the west. Can Ottawa win the Grey Cup with a worse record this year?

Hazelton for the lock of the week TD yeehaw

Stamps choked so badly last year. No way the RedBlacks were even close to being one of the best teams in 2016.

I briefly had my hopes up but in the end they were dashed. Upon reflection sort of like watching a Blue Bombers game in 1997 or 1998.

long season but this rate i want to be a crossover team- any western team should walk over any eastern team besides maybe tronna at the moment.

The Redblacks move the ball very well on offense, as they did last year. It wasn't entirely a case of the Stamps choking.

I don't believe that.  We saw with Montreal and Calgary that anything can happen.  Edmonton definitely didn't walk all over the Ticats tonight.  That game came right down to the wire after the Ticats led for 59 minutes.

All four Eastern teams look capable of winning at any time so none can be taken lightly.

Hamilton dline is old and slow. Laurent dug deep to play a former team, but is done other than that. Has Chick played a game this year yet?  Cats are bad all over the board, Austin is done this year. Eskimo's aren't much without Bowman. Bad game all over the place, both teams looked bad. Sad state of affairs in the league this year, name a single team that has looked good

Please, Laurent is a national beast and Chick has started slow but is a year removed from 14 sacks. Any team would be happy to have these guys.

Stamps, Esks, Als, Argos, Bombers, and Lions have all looked good at times.

Classic Rider fan.  The Riders are terrible and it's suddenly "Oh the league is unwatchable"

More like I'm wondering which team is a whole lot better than us

Every team except Hamilton, I'd say.  You might steal a win from Montreal, Ottawa or the Bombers but probably end up around 5-13 again this year.

You are right about Laurent. I was referring more to them being totally out of gas when it mattered in the fourth quarter.  Chick however hasn't even been getting pressure this year. He is a quick starter and fades as year goes on, this year starting slow is not a good sign for later on.

Montreal and Winnipeg actually stole a win from us, so what does that say about you?
