November 10, 20169 yr That COTY determination has just been turned into a farce. The best Coachs don't follow East-West guidelines. They are simply the Coachs who are deemed to have done the best job, under the circumstances, or because of the circumstances, and that certainly doesn't qualify ANY Eastern candidates. Buono and O'Shea certainly ahead of Campbell.

IIRC it was always supposed to be for just the regular season but because it was voted on and awarded in the spring it usually went to the coach of the GC winning team. Moving the award to GC week makes sense.
