Lawless says there is trade market for Willy

On Twitter

I can't post the tweets right now, but if someone could look them up and share, that'd be awesome.

He breaks down the details re: Bombers and Willy situation

  • I can't help but chuckle that some folks can't imagine the idea of Drew Willy being an effective starter ever again even knowing that the best QB mind in the CFL seems to think he can.

If your argument is based on not understanding when an appeal to authority is a logical fallacy, you've lost. Hint. If the authority being appealed to as an actual authority on the subject, it is not

1st plus Coombs plus something else then trade a mid Rd pick to Montreal for Glenn

I thought of that too.

If Willy won't renegotiate and we plan to cut him, maybe getting something is better.

I'd make the trade after we play Toronto next week

Why? Willy & Coombs balances themselves out since they both play offense

Willy won't learn the Argos play book that quickly. Any QB would need at least a couple weeks

its more on knowing what we do on offense. Coombs should know their playbook too. so they balance themselves out.

another option is with Saskatchewan

Willy for 1st round + Demski

2nd round is good too since it will be #10 pick but should add more value to tge package

So say the Bombers aquired Coombs from the Argos....would that kill any possibility of them trying to sign Demski if/when he becomes a free agency

QB's not a big problem for them, Canadian talent is. They'd be insane to trade for Willy

Willy and Smith for Glenn and Duron Carter?

Montreal might be just as interested as Toronto in acquiring Willy.

Duron Carter? Do we want him in our clubhouse?

Carter has been saying some very unflattering things towards the Als offensive staff on Twitter today

lol. who will trade for an injured player? theyre not the buffalo sabres.

It all depends on the significance of the injury Smith sustained of course

I'd rather be adding another first rounder. I wouldn't be looking at trading ours. Why really. Toronto is rumored to be interested.

i think the best idea is sign Henoc Muamba... solve 2 problem in 1.

He can replace Wild in the LB corps. Solve our ratio problem.

You guys seriously trust Matt Nichols to be the sole QB with experience on this team? After what you saw today?? Jesus...if anything, I thought today firmed up my belief that we need someone like Willy in reserve......

The guy is arguably the best receiver in the league.  He is tired of Popp running their team into the ground with poor coaching. I don't blame him. Stegall was very opinionated and vocal when things weren't going well here too. Not saying it's right, but it doesn't sound like Popp and Calvillo are doing a great job running the Als offence.

I would rather have Tori Gurley than Duron Carter.

gimme Manny Arceneaux thanks......my favourite receiver in the league.

theres no needfor the Leos for trading Arcenaux. why would they?

I'd do a Drew and 2nd rounder to T.O for Gurley, and a Canadian who you could roster with either a 2nd or 1st round pick and then flip the pick to Montreal with a player where we are deep for either Glenn or Cato.

If we cant do the three way I'd be happy with solely the T.O deal and go with Nichols with Davis as backup. Davis could manage this offence more than capably and actually would probably have to allow defences to respect his ability with his legs and open things up even more

well that's not the point.....aren't we just fantasizing about great CFL receivers for our team? I mean, Montreal isn't going to get rid of Carter, no matter how much of an asshat he might be....
