  1. My favorite thing when I go to a game in Vancouver is how easy it is to get to the stadium on public transportation. Even when I stayed in North Vancouver one time, seabus across the water, quick trip on the sky train and you're there. I despise only transportation, Vancouver is one of the only places I don't mind using it. Bc place is the only cfl stadium I've been to nicer than IGF. Ottawa had the best atmosphere around the stadium leading up to the game. I hate getting to Commonwealth in Edmonton (LRT has a station there, but as mentioned earlier, I hate public transportation). It's also too big as evidenced by $99 season tickets this year. At least for me, BC is my favorite place to go watch a CFL game. But I'm also quiet and boring and would rather focus on the game than being in a packed stadium. So my personal preference may be different from many other sports fans
  2. I'd trust your opinion, but aren't you the guy who two months ago didn't want to roll the dice with O'Shea anymore?
  3. Farhan lalji says he's interviewing in Ottawa tomorrow. Good luck lapo
  4. Who cares what anyone outside of Winnipeg is saying about the game or the team. This is a team that for years couldn't get through Calgary. 2019 Checked that box. This is a team that did not win a game in Regina while I was in my 20's (Won when I was 19 and when I was 30), just checked that box in the playoffs in 2019. It's not always pretty, I still hate Lapolice as a coordinator, but they're still checking all the boxes. One left to check next Sunday. Enjoy the win this week. How many bomber teams can say they went through Calgary and Regina on the road to make it to the Grey Cup? And even if we lose next Sunday, we did the next best thing to winning it all, we made sure the Riders didn't win either.
  5. Compared to most on here I'm a relatively new football fan. I've never seen a Grey Cup win. But I've seen some good bomber teams and some bad bomber teams. With that said, the two games that come to mind would be Loss - 2007 Grey Cup. For me there are 2 acceptable outcomes to a CFL season 1. The bombers win a Grey Cup or 2. The Riders don't win a Grey cup. So by my criteria 2007 was a bad year. Win 2006 against Edmonton - Stegall with the miracle touchdown for the win with Maciocia losing his mind running down the sidelines.
  6. Sure beats the majority of the last 20 years where we tend to lose games to the bad teams. I'm ok with the concept of we're winning games against teams we're better than.
  7. Welcome to Paul Lapolice. They'll never expect this play that doesn't make any sense to call, so we'll call it and the surprise will make it work. Explains all the years of we need X yards for a first down, so they'll never expect us to run a play for X-3 yards on second down.
  8. 20 years of lapolice, this is his go to second and long play. First time I remember it not working and securing the kick he intended when he called it
  9. Grants 50 something yard return I think it was Whitehead who did some nice blocking for him too
  10. I hope about a dozen losses cost them a playoff spot
  11. I'm the same way, so thank you for reminding me I've spent my entire adult life dreading Paul Lapolice working for the bombers
  12. I could be wrong but doesn't it have to be called a TD by the refs to be reviewed. I haven't been able to watch much this year, but always thought if the refs called it incomplete/down on the 1 etc, that there was no automatic review. But if the call on the field is TD then it's reviewed.
  13. Pretty sure we're 0-4, bottom of the standings. Only team without a win, planning the rebuild around whoever is the backup to streveler once we run Nichols out of town
  14. Instead of a full page of people engaging the moron from sask, may I recommend blocking him?
  15. if you're on a laptop/desktop, hover over their name and ignore user is in the window that pops up.
  16. guess we extended it in January of this year, forgot about that, so yeah, he's probably 200+
  17. Regardless of passport, how many American RB in the league would you take over Harris? His first bombers contract was rumored to be in the 175-200 range, not sure about his extension. Honestly I can't see paying any American RB near that number, but with how important Harris (and his passport) are to the team, he's worth it. No question quality NI make a nice premium over imports of the same position
  18. At the time of the signing it was reported as being $190,000 in the Sun
  19. It might not be as bad as it looks. There are a few teams driving overall attendance. None of them had a home game in week 4. If you make a very basic model of home attendance based on the first 4 weeks and apply it the overall schedule it would predict the following for the season. It doesn't look good, however the very basic assumption i made on home cities driving attendance expected week 3 and 4 to be the worst attendance, then go back up through the season and drop again in week 10. I'm curious to see what the actual results will be. But if week 5 has poorer results than week 4, then I'd be worried. Week 1 - highest attendance week Week 2 - down 0.5% (actual up 2%) Week 3 - down 19% from week 2 (actual down 28%) Week 4 - down 20% from week 3 (actual down 32%) Week 5 - up 11% from week 4 Week 6 - up 11% from week 5 Week 7 - up 7% from week 6 Week 8 - up 4% from week 7 Week 9 - up 7% from week 8 Week 10 - down 14% from week 9
  20. One of these guys looks like an athlete. The other looks like he's been eating too many cheeseburgers. Both are rich athletes
  21. extended alexander, bighill, bryant, hardrick, jeffcoat, medlock. If we signed those calibre of player in free agency people would be building a shrine to walters
  22. I think Kevin Glenn should finish his career by making bomber fans happy one more time. That's right, sign a deal in Saskatchewan, with a big signing bonus, then retire.
  23. I was right in the center of town, with like 5 churches within a 5 minute walk
  24. Melsted rings no bells. Grimolfsons absolutely. We used to watch a Grimolfsons dog when they'd go away. Duecks, Johnson, Gubjartson, Kornelsen, Erickson, Zagozewski, Einarson. Lots of names that would ring bells, I honestly can't place a single Melsted.
