I'm torn on who you spend the money on. Randle has been phenomenal since we got him from Calgary. I can't imagine the secondary without him. The O-line really came together when Bond got into the lineup. They've both been incredibly important to where the team is. My gut says if we could only keep 1, I'd keep Randle. With that said, it's been so nice to have an elite O-line after years of watching our QB's get wrecked. We don't have the depth to compete if Nichols goes down. Randle/Leggett in my eyes have been the critical pieces of our D. The D line has rotated lots, we rely on those two in the secondary every down. I don't want to think about starting the season with Leggett still injured and Randle on another team. But I have to say, man it's a nice change to say the Bombers have enough elite players to worry about who we can afford to keep, versus thinking about who we can afford to pry away from another team because our cupboard is bare.

I don't recall his first game, but Ricky Ray had a pretty successful first season as well from what I recall.

I don't remember a bomber victory in a grey cup either. So my fondest memory of a grey cup has to be "too many men on the field" 2009

There was no ratio for US teams in the last expansion. Try open a business in the US and tell the government you require a set number of lower skilled foreign workers for jobs that could be filled by Americans.

the biggest issue with US expansion to me is that you can't enforce the ratio with an American team

I saw someone on twitter mention the punt from the end zone can go out of bounds in the air, that the rules specifically state that it's illegal to punt out of bounds in the air between the 20's on a punt from scrimmage, so the punt out of the end zone wouldn't apply. I haven't verified any of that though. *edit* here's the phrasing from the rulebook "Punt Out of Bounds in Flight if a kick from scrimmage is found to have gone directly out of bounds between the 20 yard lines"

edmonton has 5 games left sitting at 7-6. If you assume the Bombers finish 10-8, Edmonton needs to go 4/5 to pass the Bombers Saskatchewan has 4 games left sitting at 8-6. They need to go 3/4 to pass the bombers So both these teams can only lose 1 game (and they play each other) to pass the bombers, which would cause us to cross over if we lost the last 4. So crossover is a slim possibility

i've got money on the game, from a betting perspective bombers are the underdog. From the betting perspective i'm ok with that

I don't like the Riders or Rider fans, and it's part of the rivalry. For me there are 2 acceptable outcomes to a CFL season. Option 1. The Bombers win a Grey up. Option 2. The Riders don't. That said I have many more bomber fans blocked on here than Rider fans, but I find the board more tolerable without having to read what certain people are saying. From this thread it seems Rod Black is upset about something, or he's upset people. I don't know or care, I blocked him long enough ago I don't have to read any of his stuff. There are insufferable bomber fans on forums, there are insufferable rider fans as well. My biggest issue with Rider fans is their insistence on wearing their Rider gear to non CFL events or non Rider games. I wear a bomber jersey when I go to a bomber game. In September I'm going to an Argos/Ticats game, and I will not be wearing a bomber jersey, but I expect to see Rider jerseys. I went to an NHL game in Ottawa, lots of red and white in the stands, and a few clowns in green. Ottawa/Nashville playing hockey and you're wearing your Riders jersey. I get they can wear whatever they want, but I find it annoying. Support a team in the game being played or be neutral. So in conclusion, screw most rider fans, and screw some bomber fans who are idiots. Basically some people suck, some of them are bomber fans, some are rider fans, some may even be driving their combine to the game sunday because it's the only transportation they have.
