Ron Lancaster - the VERY last game he ever played in Regina - was booed off the field. The next game in Edmonton (his last), he was given a standing ovation by enemy fans. So sorry, no Rider fans should ever be lecturing anyone about the rights or wrongs of booing your own team. Personally, I don't do it. I love my team. But people have a right to do it and it often shows their passion. It would be worse if they didn't show up. But I do agree, as a player, one needs to be careful about what you say. You don't want to get on the wrong side of fans - hard to right that ship.

Never thought I'd say this...but if B.C. wins this game...Riders and B.C. not too far behind us...we might have to start worrying about just making the playoffs... never mind 2nd or 3rd in the west.

A lot of guys on here don't understand how plays are called. You may have a primary receiver, but lots of options. Lapo doesn't just call "5 yard plays" all game. The 5 yard out is usually the 3rd or 4th option or the running back option. A lot of that is on the QB getting the time to read options (which Nichols usually gets) and then going through the proper progression. Also, the QB and receiver have to see the same thing and adjust. I know this is obvious to the knowledgeable football fan, but it is not all on the O coordinator

I just read Darren Bauming's tweet (retweeted) about Nichols moving past Jack Jacobs in the all time Bomber passing yardage. You'll never guess who leads the passing efficiency rating stat? Interesting. Maybe, stepping back a bit...we need to cut the guy some slack.

Yes, in a lot of cases "the masses are asses."

I think Montreal could lose by 50 if no Manziel

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion

Yeah, regarding Dressler, he had some great years in SK, he has done a great job here and, if you know anything about the guy, is an absolute fierce competitor. Having said that, with a guy his size and age, and the way we use him in our offense (a lot of sweeps), he is getting injured a fair bit...you have to wonder if this will be his last year. -
As a competing fan. You can see greatness coming

Heh guys, a Rider fan came on here and complimented us. So leave it at that. I think as long as we have Kyle Walters running the show we should be alright. This thread is a nice break from what I have to listen to here in SK (Rod Peterson 620 radio Regina). Yesterday he was saying how the Riders are ahead of the Bombers at this stage of their rebuild 2 1/2 years into the Jones era. (I'm not sure what our record was 2 1/2 years into O Shea's time then, but I wouldn't be bragging if I were him). Then he went on to insult the Eskimos saying "how many cups have you won since Jones left"? He constantly brags that the Riders should have got to the Cup last year (but leaves out the fact they were 4th in west and beat Hamilton with a drugged up RB). All that to say that I welcome a comment from a Rider fan who is in touch with reality. -

The quarterback is no longer the main problem in Montreal. Manziel is learning. He is inexperienced, but watching him, you can tell he has talent. The receivers dropped a few of his passes on Saturday. -

Well, I hate to be negative...but on Friday night our receivers were open all night long...lots of overthrown balls -
I wonder if the Riders are bringing in a certain 44 yr old receiver with the release of Carter?
