  1. couldn't be further from the truth there is very good music out there we just never see it in Canada because of our horrible radio rules if you go even into North Dakota or Minneapolis and catch a rock and roll radio station there is tons of good stuff out there. sorry for poor formatting of this post, my android voice to text blows There is a Lot of good music, new and old. You have to look for it though, commercial stuff is pretty bad. David Letterman had a lot of good new music on his show. Anyone who says "rock is dead" is clueless... they expect to get slapped in the face with the next Zeppelin... unfortunately it doesn't work that way.... there are a lot of good rock bands out there... you just gotta do a little searching!
  2. Lirim is #70... and yeah Troy was 74 when he was an emergency, out of retirement signing....
  3. Funny that you say that... CITI is on in the background at the office right now and that song was just on about 15 mins ago...
  4. I sure hope so. I'll be watching all the Winnipeg channels tonight for their sports updates. Those five seconds the news media devote to the Bombers this time of year are gold! "In sports today, the Bombers opened rookie camp (show pool footage from old Winnipeg stadium era of Doug Brown walking around talking to Ike Charlton) so the season has begun! And now on to other sports news, Paul Maurice sneezed today..." hahaha yep... that's why I'm looking for info here!
  5. Drew Edwards reporting there is no truth to this rumour.... sorry BlueBomberTalk, reasonably entertaining blog but limited credibility in reporting news...
  6. Anyone going to rookie camp today?
  7. Also did you notice the Canadian team ****-kicking the American team in whatever game that was?? And this ball size news is mind boggling...
  8. Depends where he lines up eventually. If he has the size to play wideout then he'll most likely ever only play on one side of the field, reducing the number of routes on the tree by 50%. And it's not like every team uses a zillion different routes, I can't see him learning (or knowing) being that big of an issue. Just gives you an idea. Where were you when Mike Kelly was coaching.... I couldn't help but notice the jet sweep is not listed here...
  9. Thanks for the summary Mike... After watching some tape I think I like the idea of Brown at DE, rather than LB... also explains why you had him starting at DE on the starters projection thread... I was scratching my head a bit cuz I noticed you asked Bauming about that on Twitter and he speculated MLB... no mention of Denicos Allen at LB??
  10. I'm a little disappointed that I got beat out for the MLB spot.... I couldn't help but notice you still need a LS and holder...
  11. Is there more to this than just BlubBomberTalk tweeting a rumour?? I'll wait till a reputable source says something about it...
  12. One of his biggest positives is he's a hands catcher and is good at high-pointing the ball... at 6'5 playing against DBs who are typically around 5'10-11... that will be a very valuable skill... EDIT: I guess hands catching and high-pointing should qualify as 2 positives...
  13. I also wouldn't be surprised if he made it... good size for DE... should have enough speed... worst case scenario is it brings some American attention to the CFL... The "plus" side to him getting cut is it shows that CFL is no push-over for former NFL draftees... That was proved a long time ago. To CFL fans, yes... but most NFL fans still think the CFL is bush league and any NFLer can dominate here...
  14. I wasn't aware of his veteran combine numbers... that could definitely hurt him if he isn't in better shape...
  15. I would think Pointbriand would have to regress significantly to be cut in favour of a rookie... Not only is he a fairly reliable FB but he's a special teams ace as well as the captain... Could see Normand/Lattanzio taking a year to learn and compete for the starting spot next year...
  16. I also wouldn't be surprised if he made it... good size for DE... should have enough speed... worst case scenario is it brings some American attention to the CFL... The "plus" side to him getting cut is it shows that CFL is no push-over for former NFL draftees...
  17. So to clarify.... you're suggesting that our scouting department and GM don't know what they're doing and are using a first round pick on a guy based on Nick Moore's recommendation?... Also that Ed Tait/Waggoner lied in the article and Moore was actually recruiting him to play in BC?... Bolded statement also doesn't make any sense... the article from the BC Province said 4 teams offered a 1st round pick for him... sounds to me like other teams did, in fact, go after him...
  18. Hoping for 9-10 wins (or more).... what I really expect to see is the team progress as the year proceeds... hopefully we hit our stride by playoffs...
  19. Problem is when Miller, Walters etc are doing good things.... we need something to complain about!
  20. At camp in 2013 I woulda ranked him 2nd behind only Buck... Buck, Yantz, Hall, Goltz, Chase something (I forget the guy's name) ... then again, there wasn't much to be excited about that year... Chase Clement. Yeah there wasn't too much memorable about him.... I'm sure he's a nice guy though
  21. Sounds like Kyle owes Duane Forde a doughnut. Also - how pissed off is Wally right now? He had this kid in the bag and Forde totally screwed it up for him. It would have been interesting to know if Wally was planning to switch Waggoner's passport after the draft passed by. Didn't someone say earlier in this thread that you can't do that??
  22. Also if BC needs a safety so bad (according to that article they do)... why wouldn't they use a late round pick on Chapman... rather than try their luck at signing him as a free agent...
  23. The Lions were one of four teams to offer a first-round 2016 pick for Waggoner, but lost him to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who reaped the benefit of a higher waiver claim order from missing the playoffs last year. http://blogs.theprovince.com/2015/05/20/lions-not-playing-safe-to-replace-safety/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed Now that the great and powerful Wally Buono has justified this selection, I am happy with it!
  24. Leggett is a ball hawk too, great anticipation skills, hate to lose him in the secondary. No reason got can't have Leggett on the field at the same time as a Canadian safety in certain packages... but all signs definitely point to our ratio being 3 o-line, 1 rec, and 3 on defense
