  1. Yes exactly. I was impressed with your ability to read the future...not so much anymore
  2. Your post is at 9:36am and you say Jim Toth arrived at 10... that's some impressive future telling
  3. Never re-signed here, I guess that makes him a free agent...
  4. Rids shows up out of no where to win the thread!
  5. Those two names sound familiar for some reason... the latter being injured rings a bell also...
  6. Suggesting Marve will be cut b/c he might not be here next year is one of the craziest things we've argued about recently... I guess it's still better than "which terrible QB might have a chance at leading us to a close game, Goltz or Hall" arguments... Fitzgerald getting cut is not a huge surprise... we have at least 2 players who LS better and at least 2 or 3 guys who are better FBs... but of luck to him
  7. I sat there for about a minute trying to think of a Titans player... The only one to come to mind was Cortland Finnegan... who hasn't played there in 4 or 5 years... clearly I'm not in mid-season form...
  8. Not the impression I got from the couple practices I watched... he was very vocal and seemed to be constantly encouraging guys... sure seemed like he enjoyed being part of this team...
  9. Pretty funny article... this had to be my favourite line: "Despite a very long history, the Riders have only won the Grey Cup 4 times, so mathematically you might want to root elsewhere, even if they did win pretty recently (2013)"
  10. I know it was probably a polarizing look but I really like the Alouettes signature uniforms...
  11. So any feedback from the guys who watched the game? ... sounds like Adams, Richardson, and Allen were good on d... Marve, Goossen, Anderson on o... just basing this on twitter/listening for a bit... some additional feedback would be great
  12. I don't have anything against him... he kinda burnt some bridges on his way out... and I'd much rather have any of the guys on our roster than an almost 30-year-old back with serious injury history...
  13. Which Randle? Bradley is playing and I'm not really sure what Chris has to prove in the first pre-season game...
  14. I don't really care what happens... I just hope we NEVER have to see those "signature" uniforms again...
  15. Just for the sake of discussion... here's a list of the players not in Toronto tonight (and my thoughts on why) 1. Stoudamire (injured... brilliant insight, I know) 3. Newman (thought he should be playing, maybe he's impressed enough to get the first one off) 7. Washington (lock, or at least gets the vet benefit of getting a free pass on first cuts) 8. Randle (lock to start) 10. Hurl (would've like to see him play, maybe also gets the vet pass) 17. Moore (lock to start) 18. Yantz (might be in trouble, thought this would be a good game for him to play in 25. Johnson (definitely not a lock, I'll go with vet free pass) 31. Leggett (lock to start) 33. West (bit of a mystery he hasn't been at camp at all) 38. Lattanzio (not sure why he's not playing, possibly injury related) 39. Pontbriand (probably still a lock to start at FB and on teams) 44. Anderson (lock to make the 46) 46. Rempel (lock to start at LS, guessing Fitz and Cronk will LS in this game) 47. Bass (bit of a surprise, maybe injury related?) 50. Warden (not sure what the deal is with him) 51. Dile (injury) 53. Neufeld (injury) 55. Westerman (lock to start, or at least be on the 46) 66. Bryant (lock to start) 68. Picard (lock to start) 70. Hijrullahu (lock to start) 83. JFG (lock to make the 46) 86. Richards (injury) 87. Kohlert (lock to make the 46) 89. Denmark (lock to start) 90. Peach (should be a lock on the 46) 92. Turner (lock to start) 95. Thomas (should be on the 46, would have like to see him in this game) 98. Collins (not sure how he got a pass, has he impressed that much in camp?) Sorry if I made any mistakes... feel free to weigh in...
  16. It's both, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Rick has to win 7 games MINIMUM, absolutely no less are allowed, to keep his job. Antoine Pruneau predicted the redbalcks will go 12-6...
  17. I think the word "bromance" needs to be permanently retired...
  18. So everyone who thought Taman predicting 12-6 was optimistic... Ott LB Preneau is also predicting 12-6 for his squad... I think 6-12 would be a good start for them...
  19. Dammit Bombers... why can't you ever provide free stuff when I'm there!?!
  20. I guess the only silver lining is it might give one of the new guys... Anderson, Veltung, Gordon.... a chance to make the team and see what they can do.... but definitely a big loss...
  21. Is Wicek the next Bruce Jenner? No judgement, just saying
  22. I left after the first session... here's a few of my thoughts from skelly/scrimmage.... take them for what they're worth (not much) - Willy is clearly the best QB we have (not that that's really in question)... Brohm is no lock for the #2 spot, I thought Marve was the second best QB today.... Portis is impressively mobile but was inaccurate in his throwing - Anderson and Scott both had a couple nice runs - D-line looks intense and very vocal, like what I see from them - JFG continues to make impressive catches and appears to have no fear running across the middle... he could certainly be the "next Watson" - Hurl took most first team reps at MLB... would like to see Denicos Allen there a bit - I thought Stoudemire looked a little over-matched at field HB - Gordon has impressive wheels, could be a nice deep threat - really impressed by Hijrullahu's leadership on teams - Darvin Adams made a few nice catches - Goossen and Collins (I think, I didn't actually see the DL's #) got into a bit of a scuffle.... was broken up quickly by teammates... good to see some aggression from the young man... Wylie was giving him **** for something earlier in practice, didn't really seem like a big deal but they were going back and forth for a bit - Picard is a very vocal leader... seems guys really respect him - Overall seemed like a good, intense practice... chatted with a few other Bomber fans that were there... possibly other people from this site?? Non-football thoughts from the morning - Dom Picard seems to hate running sprints (can't really blame him) - Paul Wicek appeared to be wearing women's Toms shoes - I nailed the timing since it started to rain about a minute after I got in my car. Hope you guys enjoyed my input...
  23. Hijrullahu doing kick offs now, doing a lot of directing and coaching... Tony Burnett showing a lot of enthusiasm on Def and ST
  24. Santella doing most of the kicking today... AL Bradbury and some refs are here throwing flags... Brohm with a couple overthrows in skelly... Anderson, Gordon and Veltung taking the kick offs
