I'm not sure why some people want to immediately write someone off as TCF... worst case scenario, he shows nothing and is released after camp.... no harm, no foul... best case scenario, he shows some promise and we keep him on the PR for development.... there is literally no risk for the team to bring in a buy like this...

You think they keep all of them around? Unless Grigsby got some balls surgically added in the offseason he's not as good as the other two guys. Call me over sensitive but really beginning to think you don't like Grigsby. He gave us high hopes coming outta camp after.cottons injury... Then we realized he can't block, barely catch and is a lightweight when any contact happens... Any dislike is based upon his brutal season with us AND then blaming everyone but himself.. That's just incorrect... catching is one of the things he is good at... I believe there was even discussion around here about how effective is would be in the slot...

The funny thing about Mack's draft history was he either picked players that were too good (Muamba, Bilikudi, Mulumba) or guys that weren't good enough (Pencer, Ettiene, Robertson, Poblah)... either way it didn't help the team.... American scouting is a different story...

You're assuming the Riders could have kept Hurl. You can't force a player to re-sign and you can't assume the Riders "let him walk" either. It's certainly a possibility that Hurl told the Riders to sod off so he could try to follow Richie Hall here. Exactly. You can't "elect" to keep a pending free agent. From what I've read they did make an offer in an attempt to keep him. But everyone who ever plays for Sask never wants to leave b/c it's the holy land of the CFL... right???

I wonder if Sask's interest in him is any indication of Durant's recovery from last year's injury... or maybe it's just insurance... I don't think one injury suddenly makes Durant "injury prone"....

You'd think that Bomber fans would be the last people this needs to be explained to.... No kidding. Joey Elliot, Alex Brink, Max Hall....that's just the last few years and I'm probably forgetting a couple. All very effective arguments against rushing a QB into playing time. Max Hall would be an example of the problem with signing an "older" QB... Max was already 28 (maybe 27?) when he got here so his window of peak time was closing.... ideally you want to sign a developmental QB at 25 or younger...

More than just protecting Willy... a revamped o-line combined with a healthy Cotton... could give us a dominant run game for the first time in years
