Wild and to a lesser extent newman as well could be added to the list as prized or at least sought after players that were held at gun point... Er i mean willingly decided to come play for the bombers..

Wonder if it sucks when reality clashes with a point you're attempting to make..

Did you see the Denver receivers dropping many passes the other day? Players that make millions?

People think Moore didn't do enough for what he got paid.... he regularly went up for bad passes, and regularly got killed and injured for his work. So the complaint was ... he's injured too much. yeah, cause he's doing his job. look at the beating that some of the other bombers took this year. Kohlert, for instance.
Chances of getting clobbered are very high, and I suspect a lot of players aren't that interested in getting maimed going for a tough catch.

tough to find guys that want to do that.

Adams is a respectable 3rd option in a receiving corp.

    100% agree.
Your third option needs to be capable of 100+ yard games, but not relied upon to do it game in and game out. Adams can do that and he adds the extra benefit of being a very capable red zone target.

Thank you. tired of hearing it was a wasted pick. We drafted someone early that's all. And it's too early to tell if it was a mistake to pick him or not.

You remember incorrectly which essentially renders the rest of this argument moot. Nichols cost us a conditional 7th rounder, not a 2nd overall pick. Would your opinion on his QB management change now that you know the asset we gave up to give us a continuing shot at the playoffs last year was a throw away?
Walters has done a lot of things wrong as GM - QB management is not one of them. Unless he's supposed to manage the health of Drew Willy.

    Yes, a conditional 7th round in 2017.
If you are talking about the 2nd overall pick (our first round pick), we used it in the supplemental draft to grab Garrett Waggoner.
So it wasn't a wasted or traded pick, we just picked a player early.  Will take a couple of years before we really know if it was wisely used or not.

Can't you just talk football? Really. It all just seems to be the same whining phrased differently in every single one of your posts lately.

How is anyone outperforming anyone right now. There are no available free agents right now, it is just GM's extending their own players before they hit free agency. This seems like you fabricating something to complain about since there is nothing really to complain about right now. Sorry to say but SWING AND A MISS.

If you don't think they all want to win a championship you should think again, that's why they are all in it in the first place.

Yup, just like the Bombers went from 4-14 to 11-7 from 2010-2011 and a Grey Cup appearance. People can nitpick the details of the "worthiness" of how a team gets there but obviously it's possible - even for the Bombers!

What a classless piece of scheisse, that Friesen...
Seriously he and Wiecek contribute nothing of value when they write about the Bombers.
Wiecek is actually more frustrating because he CAN write interesting pieces like the one about concussions and head trauma. Then he turns around and is an a$$ about the Bombers which just makes it seem more personal as opposed to Friesen's dog and pony show

Geez, I don't care if Wiecek is right or not, but reading his articles just makes me want to walk over there and punch him in the face.  He's just an ass when he writes.

That being said, I'm still on the fence with LaPo.  I mean, this will be the first time in 12 years where he has a really good QB behind the line (and he can normally take a hit too).  I want to be hopeful, but at the same time...I just get this gut feeling that it's just another meh hire.  Our whole coaching staff, GM and scouts just feels very meh to me.  I was hoping when MOS got hired that he was going to bring some fire to the team, but I just don't see it.  Hopefully they can pull it off and hopefully they bring some decent talent to the table.

teams aren't even giving the Bombers permission to talk to them, that tells me at least 2 teams are worried about guys leaving for Winnipeg. Try again with the doom and gloom, this try failed.

You know what I find hilarious.  That a bunch of you are such knee jerk reactionists that you're so filled with fear that you want to ATTACK NOW!  And you whine about how Trudeau seems to be doing nothing.  You know what I find is great about Trudeau.  That he's not reacting like some macho "we're going to get those terrorists" guy.  Because being reactionary towards this is exactly what the terrorists want.  They want the leaders to attack.  They want to fight and strike fear.  And Trudeau isn't giving them the satisfaction.  He's trying to show that it's business as usual and he's not showing fear towards these threats.  To react, to throw up more security, to attack...shows fear, not strength.  These are all things that terrorists want.

Let me ask you something.  How much more security do you need until you feel safe?  Security camera's everywhere watching everything you do?  In your home, in your phone...listening to whatever is done or said?  Scanners that you have to walk through to go into a mall, a school...your own house?  How much fear do they have to instill into you before you allow all of your freedoms to vanish?  Before you're scared to leave this country...then the city...then your own home?  What happens if your kids befriend a refugees kids...how long before you get scared because they are in your house?

Yeah, it's a scary world, especially when this happens, but to react to it and freak out and ***** that we should bomb the hell out of ISIS...well to me that's just giving into fear and terrorism.

There are hundreds if not thousands of disenfranchised first and second generation Canadian youth who pose a much bigger threat to our "security" in the near term in terms of being radicalized than refugees arriving in the coming months, along with some disenfranchised "Canadian" youth.  These are the people perpetrating the ISIS attacks in the West.

To me, the argument against taking refugees should have more to do with the fact that they are coming here to a place with very little economic opportunity for them, which often leads to the disconnect with the rest of society.  There aren't a lot of radicalized individuals who were well educated people who left good jobs in the west to join the Jihad.  They are almost always unemployed with justice system involvement.  This thought is always trumped by the immediate safety concerns for the refugees.  If proper resources and opportunities aren't in place, we're just setting the trap for 20 years down the line.
