There comes a time when fans say to themselves...'enough us enough' and it starts getting louder and louder with each loss....You can never say that Mike O hasn't received enough time to build and coach a winner along with Walters....His record shows one....yeah... count em ....ONE lousy playoff win in 5 years....How could anyone expect that to continue with a different result...The record speaks for itself and unless O'Shea finds some magic somewhere and we end up in the Cup, I think his tenure here is over....Contract up....openings back east...time for a change of scenery for our hc I would say....Failing that expect a lot of season tix holders to walk away...Hope for the best and Mike finds an answer in these last games of the reg. season and the playoffs....if not the writing will become very clear on the wall

I don't think Campbell will take long to find a new job if he gets fired. He had a lot of successful years in Ottawa. I think most will view this season as the GM's fault.

I'm with all of these decisions. Assuming we don't go on some unexpected playoff run and win the Grey Cup (could happen, right?), Walters has to put on his GM hat this off season regarding O'Shea. No more linked at the hips, buddy-buddy, we're in this together Canadian mafia thing. He needs to sit Osh down and say I as GM am firing Lapo and Hall, and  I as GM are replacing them. You (head coach) have this season to turn things around or you too will be fired. I think Walters has been good enough at his job to at least earn the right to hire one more head coach. He's not flawless, but, for the most part he's acquired, drafted and retained above average players. The coaching staff has not been good enough. Whether it's the coordinators, head coach, combination, they need to be better.

Lapo is likely gone.  Hire Dinwiddie who is regarded as an up-and-comer for several year as the OC.  He has been coaching now for 7 years, 5 of those with one of the best in Dickenson.  We hired an unproven special teams coach to be head coach here 6 years ago.  Now it's time for some fresh blood at the OC position.
Sign Arbuckle as he already has a repoire with Dinwiddie and has displayed far more potential than Streveler up to this point.  Sign Strev as well, as based on his performance up to this point, he will not command much on the open market (of course, this may change in the final 3 reg. season games and playoffs).
Nichols can be shown the door.  His performance has been wanting for the most part the past 2 years.  When the running game is stopped he does not have the ability to lead this team to victory.  We have seen this time and time again from him against the good teams ie. earlier this year in Hamilton, Last year's final against Calgary.  Add in his shoulder injury and the likelihood he will decline further is that much greater in 2020.  It's time to move on.

I posted in the other forum that the Bombers have failed to draw a crowd over 25,500 this year, not including the Banjo Bowl, for the first time in the history of the IG Field.  This after 4 seasons (including this one) of better than .500 ball.  Frustration turning to apathy plays a role as well as high ticket prices in the lower bowl which have only been somewhat addressed with the introduction of family season tickets, student season tickets and individual family packs.  There are more and more seats becoming available between the 30s, which used to be sold out...a result of charging new season ticketholders over $1000 per seat for non-club seats and $150 per game.  Seats between the 10 yard line and corner end zones continue to sit largely empty at those high prices.  Miller has to take part of the blame for this.
As for O'shea, his contract is up this year and if he is one and done in the semi-finals (assuming the Bombers don't turn things around to finish first), he won't be back.  1 playoff win in 6 seasons.  Try to find the last CFL coach who lasted into a 7th season with 1 playoff win and no division titles.  I think you will be looking back decades to find one...in fact, I'm not sure it has ever happened.  It could also be the Argos or Redblacks (I think they keep Campbell for one more season,) offer a lucrative contract offer a more lucrative contract that O'shea jumps at as soon as the season is over.
Even if O'Shea makes it to the divisional finals and loses I think it's a 50-50 proposition at best that he is back.  Barely above .500 in 6 seasons and no real progress towards a Grey Cup by the looks of this season...him going to bat for Richie Hall this off-season with more of the same results.  He has to wear that.  No, the more I think about it, the more it seems likely anything less than a Grey Cup appearance will likely result in the end of the O'shea era in Winnipeg...should be the end of Richie Hall and Lapo as well...unless Lapo replaces O'shea as head coach.

I don't see Kyle Walters moving on from Mike O'Shea. I think MOS has a HC job here as long as he wants it. It is possible that MOS may want to move on though (if his facial expressions and defeated body language of late is any indication).
Should that happen, the new HC here would likely bring in his own OC and DC. Otherwise, I see MOS, Lapo and Hall being here for years to come which may not be a bad thing, continuity and all that.

That's always the fall back excuse. Don't replace them because who else is out there? Great reason to keep shitty coaches.

There really no good argument to be made for keeping incompetent coaches just because you cannot think offhand of who would be better. O'Shea has obviously made the decision that these (Hall and LaPolice) were keepers, and if he cannot see the problems or is just plain too stubborn to change, then he has put his own head on the chopping block.

The Hamilton team played more conservative in the second half - They full well knew that playing against a Richie Hall defense they could crank it up again any time they wanted to. Hamilton is just a far far better team on both sides of the ball than Winnipeg, as is Calgary and Sask as far as I am concerned. You will never ever win anything of importance as long as you have Richie Hall as your DC. There is no way in the world we could have pulled this one out. I doubt we will win many more. Make the playoffs and one and done is what is in store for this club. Maybe they will fall into the cross over and then get pounded out east.

LaPolice working for TSN was absolutely great for his career. They constantly praise him despite the results...
Suitor: Well Chris, LaPo is going to build an offense so his young quarterback can thrive.
Bombers run Harris up the middle, resulting in 2nd and 9.
Suitor: That one didn't work but it definitely got the defense thinking. The good thing about LaPo is that he's going to be creative.
Streveler runs a QB draw for a short gain.
Suitor:  You can really see that Streveler needs to develop more as a passer. He's got some work to do.
    [next series]
Suitor: Well I'm excited to see what the mad scientist Paul LaPolice will draw up here.
Bombers run a screen to Lucky Whitehead for a short loss.
Suitor: Look at how the offense stretched the defense there, that'll be setting them for up something later, I'm sure about that...
Bombers complete an 8 yard pass short of the sticks.
Suitor: This offense is dangerous Chris, that play was pretty close to making a first down.

Disappointed in the effort all-around....especially after last weaks' debacle.  Streveler is not showing any progress by the looks of things.  He has been passed by several backups around the league - Adams, Fajardo, Arbuckle, Evans.
Defense, which appeared to be a strength, looks like a mirage.  Bighill has been the biggest disappointment of all and the secondary has been underwhelming most of the season.
It sure doesn't seem like the players are going all-out for O'Shea, contrary to popular opinion around here.  I suspect a one and done in the playoffs results in him not being offered an extension.
I guess we will see what happens next week in another statement game against Saskatchewan.  Another loss likely spells the end of ANY home game in the playoffs and a likely third place finish.  Really frustrating right now.  Feels like another cupless year.

We finally get a 300 yard passing game & it may have been the ugliest & worst 300 yard performance I have ever seen. So, you can throw for 300 yards & look ghastly doing it.

Bighill was next to invisible. Secondary is way too soft. Compete level disappeared way too early...OShea has to wear that.

We have seen this story too often.  The defense plays a good game only to blow it when the team really needs them to hold the opposing offense to zero points on their final drive.  We saw some good late game stops by the D in the preceding weeks but this was an all too familiar tale.  Fajardo was 4-4 on the final drive for 34 yards...not sure why people here say all he did was hand off the ball to get in field goal range.
I get frustrated with our coordinators too, but there appears to be an assumption by many here that whoever we replace them with will be better by utilizing the talent to its full potential.  That is a pretty big assumption.  Who is exactly out there that will call a better game than Lapo or Hall?  Someone we don't know about from the US?  Someone in the CFL?

Fajardo took advantage of the short field the defense gave him with those INTs and turned them into TDs.  He was very efficient.  He also had at least a couple other longer drives for TDs.  He did not turn the ball over.  All in all, a very good game by him.  Certain folks here would be praising Nichols for a game like that even if he threw for 70 less yards than Farjardo's 240....and yet it seems like Fajardo is doing it with smoke and mirrors according to some posters.
Riders are clearly better than I and many others thought they would be.  We will be in tough next week, even if Nichols was starting.  I will be happy with the split after the back-to-back games.

This reeks of TSN's influence.  The longer they have to wait it out the higher the production costs for tv and they don't want their crew waiting longer than they need to.  Plus they would be splitting their CFL audience in two with 2 games occurring simultaneously for an hour or so.
There is a desperate need for competition for tv rights when the contract is up in 2 years.
