Perhaps the difference is some personnel people in the CFL seem to have a better knack for evaluating young QB talent.

Bellefeuille probably planned to counter the Ticats stellar d-line by passing the ball more. That's reactive game planning, and not the sign of a winner. If you're a championship team, you impose your will on the other team, regardless of what they're doing. I see the logic in why Bellefeuille might have planned that, but it's the approach of a loser.
And with our new and improved OL, we shouldn't be afraid to run the ball against anyone.

The riders put perspective to our loss. The only difference between them and us is they lost a close one and we got whipped but tomorrow morning we both will be two points short. Well I guess there's another difference. We spent maybe six threads on the game, they spent pages of them. 
 
I appreciate there are posters on this site who keeps the good ole' ship on course. It might be a good idea to count up to 10 (hours) before posting after a loss.

There's probably 10 penalties a game as a result of the IC/PI and new Oline kicking rule so once they catch on things might settle down. 

Hamilton was impressive in their first game, we had film and a pre-season on them so how much did that help?

The Bombers did not do their fans any favours by losing most of their home games last year.

Parts of that game....turned into flag fest...

....and the D gave back....until the last 2 minutes.....
Bombers then managed some stops....
....and gave Riders taste of own medicine....
...as they ran the clock out to seal the win.....
And that gin..... turned out nice again......

Ya, starting to really irk me how this is trying to be drawn back to something unique to Winnipeg. People like free things. 
 
This isn't even about that though. Its about what people are willing to pay for the product they're getting. For 8 bucks I get a ton of value from my Netflix account, both from original and older programming. I'm more than willing to pay because I think its well worth it. If you pay attention to TV trends, clearly this isn't just me or Winnipeg either, as Canada as a whole continues to shift towards streaming (legally and illegally). People don't want to pay for cable because the value is disproportionate to what you're paying. This pushes people to search for alternative options.
 
Back to football, the CFL is losing out on a revenue stream in my opinion. Every major sports league has its own online viewing option, some which make more sense than others. I'd be willing to pay for streaming and/or an app. 

Sounds like a lame excuse to me.  There's a jumbotron feed and internet access.  Same as Varsity.

When Moore and Watson were hurt Willy's was pretty well down to Denmark as a reciever that could get open. I don't think our recievers really scared anybody last year. And that did not help Willy much.

Something people are forgetting.... last season Greaves played between an injured January and a declining Morley... putting him between Bryant and Picard will make a huge difference...
 
I agree that Greaves is no all-star... but surround him with all-stars and he'll definitely help solidify the left side...

Well that is why we are where we are and Calgary is where it is. You get what you pay for along with the excuses.
