  1. Mo Leggett will be licking his chops. Leggett will get at least one int tonight.
  2. It's tough keeping up with all the Joneses on this team... Jarvis Jones (65) is not on the 46 yet.... the Joneses on the the current 44 are Kyle Jones (47) and Derek Jones (41)Don't be so sure...this is an "Etch" defence you knowthe Bombers run defence would probably benefit from a 300lb dime back. Just make sure that Leggett is helping him over the top on every single pass play..
  3. I thought I heard something about a third jersey being based on one of the old WHA designs, but I can't find the link now. Otherwise, I kinda like the idea of the shoulder patch wings and crossed sticks being used as a third jersey design. Of all the new Jets logos, that one is my favorite
  4. I don't know, an MLB in flames would definitely make the running backs a little less comfortable running up the gut
  5. Perrault and Burmistrov on the third line would be a good 2/3rds. I don't think that Klingberg/Lowry/O'Dell would be a proper third line, but sub one of those guys out in place of Burmistrov and I don't mind that. Certainly better than what we saw last season. I like any of those guys on the third line a whole lot more than someone like Thorburn or any of the other bottom line guys that they have now. At some point the Jets have to give their AHL guys a meaningful look with the big club to see what they actually have in their system .
  6. I'd love to see Burmi come back next season. The guy can play center and wing so I think any creative coach (not Noel) would be able to find a place for him. One of the Jets major problems is a steep drop off in bottom 6 talent. It'd be nice if Burmi could slot in on the third line with something like Klingberg/O'Dell/Lowry on the wings. A third line that could score and provide some tough defensive minutes would go a long way toward improving the home team.
  7. I got some pretty nice colony made rabbit fur moccasins for the wife a couple years back. Kinda surprised that Hutterites were into making moccasins, but the quality can't be beat.
  8. I don't think the Bombers would ever do something like that....
  9. Seriously? Smitties or Pony Corral? You're really looking for quality food aren't you? Why don't you just go to Costco and pick up their plate of wings and eat them at your place. They'd probably taste a whole lot better then the crap they serve at either of those 2 restaurants (and I use the term "restaurant" lightly when I speak of either of those places). where do you like wings from? Round Table.... ******* amazing X2
  10. Yeh, I made that pick too. I also had to cheap out on some other positions in order to get Ray, but I figure even two avg games from him will be worth more than one great one from most other qbs this week.
  11. I got an email from TSN that said point from both games count this week for Argo players.
  12. I wouldn't say that this team has a delicate psyche. They've come from behind a number of times this season and it looks like MOS has instilled an expectation to win. I have no idea why they're sticking with Grigsby at RB, but I doubt it's to protect his feelings. The coaching staff seems to be in love with him for better or worse. Maybe he's the type of guy who dominates practice and turns off in games. see the post above yours. Instead of blaming just grigsby, look at the Oline also. Dude was constantly being stuffed in the back field, what can the rb do, any running back for that matter do when he always has 2 or 3 if not more guys in his face the second he gets the ball. I'm not just blaming Grigsby. In the above post he was the only player mentioned by name. I think he's got great speed and they need to find plays that get him into space more often. I do have an issue with his habit of taking the handoff and either slowing up before hitting the line or making a few stutter steps and losing all his momentum.
  13. Thanks for putting these up. Putting CJOB audio over top was a stroke of genius

  15. I'd sure like to see him sit down for a while after that celebration when the play was still on during the Bombers final kick return. He plays a really keyed up game, but I don't really notice him channeling that emotion into productive plays.
  16. I don't know which spin move I liked better, Grigsby to get out of the backfield or Jason Vega to get into the backfield and get that sack
  17. no YOU'RE dumb... It's "your" dumb, Einsteen! are we sure it's not yore? The internetz says it's "ur"
  18. When I saw the words "great article" and "Gary Lawless" on the title of this thread I knew there'd be fireworks for sure. I don't hate Lawless but I don't go out of my way to read him either. As was noted before, he will change his opinions pretty quickly if the opportunity presents itself. It's nice to read a positive article, but I don't expect it to last too long.
  19. I'm really enjoying these posts JBR. McAdoo sounds like an intriguing prospect, I'm a big fan of DEs with a huge wingspan
  20. This is good news. Any word on an offensive line coach yet?
  21. Yes we do have a special teams coach.Who? Pat Tracey. You're right. I forgot about that signing. New to the CFL so I don't know very much about him other than what I just read in the last 5 minutes. I'm in the same boat. It'll be tough to replace Dickenson, but it sounds like Tracey has a good amount of experience. Hopefully Aaron Woods' rehab is going well
  22. Well, at least you have the derisive nicknames figured out already
  23. Relax... Neufeld, Swiston, and Pencer are waiting in the wings. A good O-Line coach (heck even a different one from Del Monaco) could very well make them into long-term starters. Just because we don't have 5 bonafide 5-year starters on our line doesn't mean we're hooped. I was a fan of Jones' play last year...that could just be the relief at not seeing Boatman in there. I'd wouldn't mind if Jones was back to start the season.
  24. I'd like to see the Bombers go after Joe Burnett, even though I can't see Edm letting him walk. Pat Watkins is an interesting name on that list. I'm a big fan of tall DBs, and the Wpg secondary definitely needs a couple new faces.
  25. Not that I'm against being optimistic, but really which one of those guys do you even see on the roster next year? I wish Sears could stay healthy, he's got some skill when he's on the field. I wouldn't mind is Stewart stuck around since he's our only DB with good size. It looks like JJ is playing a little better over the past couple weeks, but his play is still a shadow of what it once was. I wouldn't be surprised if he was gone after this season. Has Smith been on the field at all yet? If not, does anyone know why?
