Do you ever worry that another team might target an injury if they knew specifically what to target? I'm not sure how unrealistic this may be, but it seems to me if a team knew a left shoulder or a wonky elbow was hurting they might go out of their way to whack it a couple times.

I can understand not disclosing the details of an injury. I think an organization that holds cards close to their chest has the right idea.

On the sidelines this AM for an hour or so. Stoudermire, Gordon, Anderson and Veltung fielding punts. T. Sherman picked Willy. #22 Randle at RB working hard. Brohm gets rid of the ball quicker than Willy, even when there's no D to read. Bastien made a couple of very nice grabs receiving including an accurate thread-the-needle rocket from Yantz. Portis made a perfect long throw to Moore that was a thing of beauty from start to finish. Waggoner very energetic with good football instincts - ditto Derek Jones. Chungh looks to be winded all the time. Sorry I don't have more but had to leave ... Team looks to be very competitive across the board. Richards, who had company today among those watching, appeared to be a tad despondent at being held back by whatever little boo-boo he had going on.

    It never ends does it?
    I mean the waiting.
First, it was the end of season and we were waiting for who the Bombers were going to release.
Then, we were waiting to see whom Walters could extend under the 2014 Salary Cap.
Year end brought us closer to Free Agency expectations as to who we were going to keep and who we were going to go after.
Next...Free Agency. That was a blast.
Free agent camps, mini-camps..Rookie mini-camps. Wait.
All the hoopla leading up to the draft, and the wait.
Then, the actual picks and the discussion about them.
Rookie Camp and all the new guys.
Finally a training Camp arrives and Day 1 is over.
And what can't I wait for now?
    Frickin' Day 2
    It's a wait I have to bear...but, at least I'm not alone.

NFL scouts suggest he's got good hands but slow off the line (which factors less with the waggle).
He is a product of a good system and coaching, he became more productive each year as a CIS player, and was invited to the 2015 E-W Shrine Bowl (with Darryl Waud) and to the NY Giants minicamp, plus he's got good size.
Looking forward to watching him - hoping he might surprise some of us who were initially skeptical of his selection in the #11 spot.

Hoping to see an improved coaching performance from O'Shea this year both on and off the field.  Listening to the Coach's Show or any interview with him last year was somewhat "Kellyesque" and akin to the torture of watching QP in the House of Commons.  A whole shitload of non-answers presented as "none of your business".

Hopefully O'Shea takes ownership of the offence, defence and special teams this year and overcomes some of the poor personnel management that was apparent in year one.  Richie Hall gets a bye this year but Pat Tracey should be on probation and I hope Marcel is kept on an extremely tight leash such that there is an actual choke chain around his neck leading from the coach's box down to field level.

I think I would like to see a rotation of Turner, Anderson and Collins in the interior DL. In that case, Thomas might be on the 46 in favor of a backup Cdn DE either Richardson or if Lattanzio can play DE.

Another thought in mind, does Lattanzio fit as MLB?

I understand that they did tests and found that etching the numbers in stone took too long a time and seriously slowed players down.  On the plus side, when someone wearing a number etched in stone manages to hit someone, they stay hit.

I really don't think Lattanzio is competing to be the starting FB. I think they're looking at him to be used as a FB in certain situations, like Vega lining up as a TE on the odd occasion.

... that is a lot of talent on defense. I can't imagine we keep it all together and I doubt every single one of these guys meets the hype but it sure beats throwing Rene Bandaid and Neil McKinlay out there.

So TC isn't at IGF. It's 50 feet away from IGF. Unless I'm missing something and it's closed to the public, what's the big deal? Bring a lawn chair. Chill. It should be all good no? Is it closed to the public? If it is I get the complaining. If not I really don't.

    Trade Greaves?  Huh?

SMS?  I'd expect an NI starter in return for Greaves so the salary difference wouldn't be that much.

To start a rookie guard?  We don't have any idea if Chungh is ready to start or not in the CFL.

Because we have 5 NI's fighting for one spot?  We are only going to have to cut one.   As it stands, Neufeld or Goosen is penciled in as a starter or 6th O lineman.  Chungh on the 46.  Everett or Griffiths on the PR.

The pick that Edmonton used to take Hus in 2013 was originally Saskatchewan's.

And they dealt it in another awful trade (4th rounder + Matt O'Donnell for Greg Carr + 5th rounder)

Hurl as starting MLB is a long shot.  Splitting time on the weak side with Newman is much more likely.

Newman got looks at middle, weak and safety until he got injured last year.  It will be the same for him and Hurl this year.  The Bombers will process all of that info and figure out what gives them their strongest 24 and their strongest 46.  At this point running a NI on the weak side looks to be that strongest 24, but that's why they have a training camp.
