Really tired of the criticism towards the fans and the media's insistence to reference the number of empty seats, rather than what has been sold. I even heard Lawless on H&L last night saying the stadium was too big - good freakin' grief... we've only played a dozen games there, give it some time!!! Last year was one of the worst seasons on record; coupled with a new stadium opening that was delayed a year and in a location that was more than a 5 min walk for St.James folk. Did everyone expect us to be selling out after that abomination last year?

I chose to see it this way: Game #1 we sold 24K and change, game #2 we sold 27K+ and for game #3 we'll be over 30K no problem. (29,100 is from yest. aft remember).

People have the audacity to call out fans for that???

I'm a rural fan and even I think that's ridiculous. If Winnipeggers were fairweather fans this team would have run out of fans years ago.

I do, however, think that Winnipeggers are huge whiners Case in point: still complaining about the location of the Stadium. But fairweather fans they are not.

Re: Renaud's first down toss. It's playing to win, nothing more. I don't care what the score is, you play to beat the opponent.
We didn't draw up somehing special to embarrass the Argos. They did a fine job of that themselves, and we took advantage. What a refreshing change. Us, not the opponent, smelling blood and going for the kill. Love it.

Much ado about nothing. We're 7 days out still. If they aren't at 25K+ early next week than maybe there's a conversation. I still think we get close to 30K. What did people expect when we lost 3000 season ticket holders?

IMHO, our biggest improvement over last year is coaching.  Especially the leadership side of that job.   I believe that we will see a greater committment from the players, and a whole lot more fight.

I like Burke as a DC, but I never forgot the game where we kneeled down while losing at the end of the game.  I just never regained any confidence that he could lead a winning team.   With M.O.S., I believe we have the passion and the drive, and that it will wear off on the team.  I expect some bumps in the road, and some trouble along the way, but I believe that this team will improve.

I'd sign a contract that gave me a 10% raise plus a $3000 signing bonus and I expect most folks would too.  If the players choose not to sign, I suspect more fans will be against them than for them.

You, like Price, are confusing the issue to benefit your opinion.

The only reason Christianity is being brought up at all is because that was his excuse for hateful speech.

See, I can't get away with saying "I like punk music, and therefore I don't associate with blacks" or "I'm a golfer, so screw the gays!"

Being part of a religion, like any other group, doesn't give one the right to look down upon others and treat them differently.

Price knew if he had tweeted STRICTLY his opinion he would be condemned as a bigot, and he thought the "out" was using religion as an excuse. Thankfully, in 2014 most people see right through it.

Ah the classic, "I'm not a racist, bigot, sexist, homophob etc because of my religion!"
Sorry, no can do. The tweets were 100% homophobic in nature and offensive. Intentionally? Maybe not, but that's no excuse.

Those are the worst kind of people. Christians are supposed to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and all that guy ever taught was tolerance and love thy fellow man and judge not lest ye be judged. The fact that these people actually hide behind a couple passages from the old testament shows that they have absolutely 0 understanding about the religion they claim to follow. They're just bigots trying to make themselves feel less guilty about being completely intolerant ass hats.

If you read Price's tweet correctly, you'd know that his comment was not homophobic.  He's stating that his faith doesn't allow him to accept what happened.  He himself has nothing against the guy.  If you read both tweets you'd know.

Now why he decided to post that at all, I have no idea.  Most of those guys are just loud mouths that like to blab a lot.

Bit off topic, and sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but 2 Winnipeg born players were taken in the NFL draft.
Is this significant at all? I didn't see a peep about it anywhere. I guess both guys were just born here and moved elsewhere for high school ball.
Still, as a Winnipeg-homer I thought this was cool.

If I were Saskatchewan, Edmonton or Winnipeg I wouldn't guarantee any of the private teams a dime unless they agreed to open up their books to the scrutiny of the other teams.

If Wetenhall, as an example, decides to spend twice as much on football operations than what his revenues dictate, that shouldn't be offset on the back of the franchises that actually have to manage their money.
