I personally thought max hall was OK on the short routes. Stefan Lefors likely wasn't as bad as cracked up to be. Tee Martin and Mike Quinn were early years of bomber watching for me and I just remember them giving Charlie the ball 20 plus times a game

That fits with Harris though. Guy always has a chip on his shoulder over something. Probably what he needs to motivate himself.

I know this will get laughed at but I'm wondering how completely shot Matt Nichols' arm is...... last year he looked as if he had zero arm strength, but if his arm was healed and he could throw again, I wouldn't be averse to him as strictly a back-up and then maybe transition into coaching/management after.....

Huh. They had their whole team to sign this off season. A lot of players wanting to get paid.  This off season is a win in my books. We have to rely on drafting well, and our scouting team to bring in replacements. It’s the same every year, especially for good teams. You’re going to lose some players but the job Walters has done with what he’s had has been phenomenal.

I'm sad to be losing Darvin. My favorite current player. Comes up big when we needed it.
As far as Harris goes. No tarnish to the legacy unless he ends up in Saskatchewan. I couldn't bare that. Lol 
Lawler at 300 k blows, but see ya later. I just noticed grant hasn't been signed and that to me would be an under the radar big loss

Nah, if teams want to spend their cap space stupidly let them. It ******* sucks to lose Lawler, but for that money I ain't even mad! You don't tie yourself into that sort of spending at a position as relatively replaceable as receiver. I'd rather two guys in the 150 range than 1 guy eating up 300k. Walters has it right. Lock up the trenches and the qb and the rest is easier to piece together.

People still give ppl like Hamilton and McIntyre for the Jets way to much attention.  They are opinion writers. Essentially they are us folks on here but likely less knowledgeable

Harris is the most complete back I've ever witnessed in the CFL and does the little things so well. He finds holes and is patient when they are developing, always falls forward to get the extra yards, a great leader on the team, an excellent blocker and you always see him talking to guys and getting them in the right positions. I noticed a big dip in all these intangibles when he was out of the lineup. He's not as fast as BO or JA, but I think this year he would still be a better RB.
I would love if he would come back with a few less touches and really try to help BO and JA gain some of the intangibles that he has. I'm not sure it would destroy the locker room - O'Shea is amazing at building that up, but I'm sure some players would get a hit of reality that careers are short and business means that sometimes a team turns their back on you, regardless of how tight knit the room is.
I know Harris was a big fan of Charles Roberts growing up. Hope he is thinking about how his career ended and our organization keeps that in mind too. Roberts wasn't half the team guy Harris is which would probably sting both sides even more if it ends the same way.
All that said, I can totally understand the team not wanting to pay him the amount he has been getting.
