  1. My sequencial plays of the game go to the Defence and Special Teams. With 59 seconds left in the 1st half, Hajrullahu punts the ball 51 yards to the Montreal 18 yard line. The Defence then comes through when Kashawn Fraser tackles Giguere after 3 yards. Then the defence force Cato to run and he negligently runs out of bounds and STOPS the clock. Huge mistake. That defence, forcing the rookie Cato to run, was huge. Montreal is forced to punt and Winnipeg obviously calls their punt blocking scheme and Lin-J shell blocks the punt resulting in a TD. A fantastic series of Bomber plays.
  2. That play by Johnson was a highlight. He raced across the field (25 yards?) away and made a huge play to stop Cato.
  3. Bomber's receivers never had a drop either. That helps.
  4. No. I found the Bombers to be around the football more than not, and they made the plays like they're supposed to. If you want to use the word scary, think SJ Green. His receptions were scary. BUT, when you have the time like Cato did tonight, one of the best receivers in the league is going to get open.
  5. Matt Dunigan is totally unlike the rest of us. He's got far more knowledge into the subject than anyone here...even you. And yet you all discount the doctor he has partnered with for ThinkFirst. Too funny. Believe what you want to believe. I'm not part of the "you all" comment you just made. I've said nothing for, or against said doctor. But the simple fact that Dunigan was partnered with him makes him that much more credible because that would give him more information to base his own conclusions on. That's only common sense.

  7. I won't get excited one way or the other at the score of the Edmonton game. When one team, (Burris) plays as poorly as they did on Thurs., you cannot get a good read on either team. Kind of like the Bomber performance last Thursday.
  8. I like this quote: from the same source, "But I don't think that was the case with Drew. Talking to Drew, I have no question in my mind that he's 100% and ready to go.” And he says the Bombers handled the situation “phenomenally,” “erring on the side of caution” by keeping Willy from returning to the game." How they got Matt Dunigan to lie, we'll never know.
  9. Idiotic, really. "We expect them to bring more pressure but we certainly don't plan on doing anything about it." And again, you're completely misreading the situation. It's not about needing increased protection. It's about using the same protection they were SUPPOSED to have last week, but a lotta guys had heads up their asses and didn't do their job properly. If everyone does their jobs, then the same amount of protection from last week (not an increase) will be fine... That is the way I read it. If everybody executes their assignments, including receivers running hot routes, then the Bombers will be OK. I have noticed already that the Big Blue have good protection packages, and when they perform, so does super-Drew.
  10. Good morning TB....coming to you from post #290.What, no comment? Still won't let it go eh? Keeping a player out doesn't equal keeping a player out who's close for his protection.
  11. Who is this guy and can he please replace Paul Friesen? Yes, he's already ahead of the other sports media in town..and he's new.
  12. Good morning TB....coming to you from post #290. What, no comment?
  13. Straight from the book of illogical thinking...TBurg style.
  14. Not so fast Bucko. You didn't answer my question that frames the basis of my examples. Logically, you wouldn't hold out 2 NI receivers if they were healthy. So, if they weren't injured, why do it? Because they were close...but not close enough is my answer.
  15. Details man, details. Did he have droopy eyes and messy hair?
  16. Yeah, I knew you targeted me, but on the other hand...neither can you prove it wrong. But I ask you, why would they hold out 2 NI receivers if they were healthy?
  17. How do you know that Kohlert and Richards were close to being ready when the Bombers don't give any injury details? That's what you got from that post? Or is that another back-handed slap at Mike O'Shea?
  18. The Bombers have been pretty strict in treating injuries of any kind in TC and pre-season. They have not allowed players to participate even if they were close to being ready. Need examples? Kohlert and Richards. There are others. I know Willy is "more valuable" but how can anyone say they would be willing to take such a chance for such a valuable chit?
  19. Funny, I don't remember using those words..but you shouldn't be so upset about what I'm writing in a forum...it isn't good for you.
  20. Exactly. How is the DL coach coaching up the Dline...are they doing anything different? We're playing a different team this week...can be expect a few new formations on O? Special teams? More emphasis this week? Yes, I would write more reports on who's looking good or bad this week....pick a player or two a week. Is MB more involved with the back up QBs? Are the backups still in the same order? Notice any difference in what the LBs are doing? Gawd, when I'm in town and watching TCs, there is too much to take in. These guys have 3 practices a week to concentrate on. You'd think they could come up with something.
  21. In case you missed it, this is not my thread, and, of course, not everybody has to, or is obliged to do anything. But rest assured your name will be at the top of the list of non-supporters.
  22. I think MorningBigBlue, representing some 700 members, should send notice that we are disappointed in the lackadaisical coverage of the oldest Professional sports team in Winnipeg. Or failing that, provide the members with some correct e-mail addresses for the parties involved and the membership could send 1 common message. Or, we could do both. If these media outlets received hundreds of e-mails each, they might take notice. Let's let them know we're not pleased with what they give us.
