  1. I don't disagree with you Bluto .... but Ray is what 35? At SOME point you have to consider it, especially if you think you have a young, viable option on hand. Look at Montreal. They kept Calvillo for too long imo.
  2. At least it sounds like they are actively pursuing a qb .... which is an improvement. And I agree, you can't assume anything - like BLM is untouchable. Who would have thought Ray was going to be traded? Ask, then ask again. If that doesn't work ask again
  3. You'd think Toronto would rather low him to a western team than an eastern one, maybe that will work in our favour? Also at what point do they start to think about protecting Collaros and letting Ray go?
  4. Whatever it takes. Get it done Walters
  5. Or 3 feet too high. He needs to settle his feet down. Reilly has 3 guys in his face and he can stop his feet to make a throw. Hall never does. He turns an open receiver into a covered one because he can't place the ball. Well put.
  6. As a head coach, there is zero evidence to support that statement.
  7. my guess is trial by fire. see what they got (at the risk of a dead qb or 2) during preseason 2014 (which is what this.half of the season essentially is) That or the staff truly believe that they scouted some great prospects OR they feel that our tackles have been so bad that it cant get any worse..for the record, id have gone with Kowalczuk at guard, pencer at tackle as well but with a morbid curiosity i eagerly await friday to see whats going to happen, lol. Carnage. That's my expectation.
  8. The barrel. We are at the bottom of it.
  9. That's too bad in a way I guess, but I do like the final product.
  10. Well that confirms it, you're either completely bananas, Gary Lawless, or ArgoDave. You have zero credibility left.
  11. Nonsense. There's a difference between putting the ball up in a place where your receiver has an advantage, and just throwing it into a crowd. It's called good quarterbacking.
  12. And an Oline. Don't forget a bout the oline.
  13. We released Brink and Elliot for this guy?
  14. Best way to show him he should have come here is to pound him into the turf. Repeatedly. With gusto.
  15. Bombers belong in the west. But I think given the relative instability in the east, they should have stayed there for a few (4?) years before moving. And shame on the Bomber management for not leveraging a few bucks out of this, one way or the other. Bauer would have taken them for half a million easily.
  16. I'm still pissed at Mack for not signing Picard when he was a free agent. The guy is nasty. I like that in my O linemen .
  17. Neither did you . A pretty one-sided re-telling.
  18. I don't think there's a market for our import receivers.
  19. Assuming this is true, do you then keep Cauchy at safety, or throw an import there since you now have the flexibility to do so? If we can get an import playing safety without negatively affecting the O-line, that's a no-brainer IMO. Safety is currently a weak spot. I'm not sure our O-line improves, but it may not be any worse.
  20. This. All of it. I have no complaints about what Walters has done thus far, however we should still do an exhaustive search for the best available GM in the post season. If it's him, great. Too many times we have taken the convenient way out of these things.
  21. Trade for Tate and a NI OL. Send them Hall and a NI receiver not named Kohlert.
  22. Notwithstanding the long TD return, I thought Ford was underwhelming. Poor acceleration, didn't shake off many tackles .... high end speed but no power. AM I wrong? Because that's not the first time someone thought he played good ....
