  1. Those uniforms were glorious out there today. Ghosts of the past etc. etc.
  2. Jokes aside, I suspect that Foster asked for a trade and Buono is simply doing his friend Buck a solid. Remember Buono released Buck years ago simply because he couldn't stay healthy .... what exactly has changed since then? I think Buck is done/cut/retired after the season is over. I'm going to miss Buck's potato chips though.
  3. Would Buono also like to take a jab at Mike Kelly? Because I'm sure Walters would hear him out ...
  4. TIL Edwards gets held EVERY SINGLE PLAY
  5. Or Watson. My first guess was Watson. Poblah doesn't have the value yet. Poblah's value isn't going to increase sitting on the bench or dropping balls. If he gets traded, it's for his "potential" not past production.
  6. Nailed it. Despite the lack of production, other teams would line up to give him a fresh start.
  7. One game and I'm now a huge fan.
  8. So if we had to trade a NI receiver, who goes? Is Watson on that list? (Love the guy BTW)
  9. Certainly gives Walters something of value to deal ....
  10. Love this move, In a perfect world we would get a servicable NI Olineman, but this is second best.
  11. I'm amused by how Goltz is praised for losing every game he has started despite bristling with mediocrity, excused for throwing interceptions, yet Elliot, who's actually WON games for the Bombers (throwing >400yds in the process), has 2 POTW awards and had a higher qb rating than ANY of our current qbs is nfg. His 'propensity to throw INT's in the red zone' is inexperience, forcing the ball, same thing as Goltz. That comes with more experience and coaching. Elliot obviously has an issue with attitude or whatever. But there is no disputing that he is a more productive quarterback at this point. Give the guy a football, a qb coach that will keep him on track, and I still think he's better than anything we have now.
  12. That's pretty surprising, but given the Lion's success at finding qbs, I suspect they know what they are doing.
  13. From the decision: "Williams signed a contract in the form prescribed by the collective agreement agreeing to play for the Respondent for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. The contract granted the Respondent an option to require him to play for a third year." The issue isn't that the Ticats tried to foist an extra year on him, it's that the contract was negotiated by an unregistered contract advisor, which was Williams choice. Also the letter sent to Williams notifying him that his option was picked up wasn't clear (i.e. it used big words). Also just for interests sake, it noted that: "There was evidence that 50% of players use unregistered contract advisors to negotiate on their behalf." I suspect that is about to change.
  14. Having an import safety would be an instant, enormous upgrade. But 3 NI receivers on an already weak offense is a stretch - but I'd try it.
  15. I'm still surprised by Palardy, though I know I shouldn't be.
