Am I the only one who keeps going to this site with hope that a new Collaros signs with the Blue thread shows up?

This is always a great topic of debate,   the Art Monk debate of a guy who played above average for a long period of time vs a guy like Jim Brown who simply was lights-out outstanding for a short period of time. 
 
I think Calvillo is a great qb and definitely a HOF in the CFL and a guy who was really good.  But it's so hard to back his case as the best since he had very poor showings when his team wasn't surrounded by all star players.   Ricky Ray put up gawdy numbers despite having crap like Kamau Peterson.....        
 
I'd agree that Calvillo isn't the top dog,    I don't think he's bad... he's in a class right next to Danny McManus and Damon Allen who are great but not the all time greats.   

Dont know why it matters so much how and when they announce it.. You know the season is still 6 months away..

The only person who didn't think Burke was in doo doo would probably of been himself... we all knew the season was going to suck the moment they got rid of Joey Elliott and decided to continue on with Buck with zeor CFL experienced qbs as his back ups.  

Well hopefully its only a one year contract... I don't want the club paying yet another guy to sit at home...

How could the Jets possibly sign big Free Agents or make big trades when they had huge salaries like Ron Hainsey and Nik Antropov that was killing them against the cap?
 
Cheveldayoff was preaching patience because the Thrashers had made rash decisions and had a lot of dead weight,  barely any prospects and in the past they dumped their best players and got not much in return.  
 
This isn't a video game where you can easily pluck an all star straight out of free agency or swing a trade easily.

Why would we want buck as a qb coach???? Only because he has roots here that's a horrible reason to hire a guy.
Is it because of his stellar play with the Blue.....????
Is it his style which only worked when he would scramble and make a play on the fly with his legs???
Is it because he looked focus on the sidelines when he played and that he never appeared to be dazed or spaced out???
I see zero reason for him to be qb coach.
I'd rather they bring in a guy who with a good reputation for game planning and good with his x and o's and someone who could mentor.

Yes he is what he is... a guy who can score great on the power play and then stink it up on his own end....  the -15 or whatever he is at now is quite indicative as well as him being one of the top guys in the league with giveaways.  
 
Bogo isn't elite and definitely can't shoot for ****, but he at least can get the puck out of his own end and considering how crappy the team has been and he still somehow is a +6 really does show.  
 
 
Byfuglien isn't a scapegoat,  to me Pavelec also is vastly over rated....  Buff simply should be a forward because he's lazy as fack  and a liability on the D,   put him on the point for the power play but for the rest of the game put him in Thorburns place on the wing.
 
Claude Noel is in over his head,  not a horrible coach but definitely not a guy who can raise the bar on a team full of young guys.     

So no jokes about Pall being 5th overall pick only for them to instantly cut him and Montreal signing him?

Well as a fan when you see a guy like Foster get several chances to make first downs and simply drop the ball mean while once in a blue moon Etienne gets a ball his way and he makes the catch and gets some YAC it really makes it hard for us to really root for him to leave...

Not to mention much better job security and much more potential for career advancements....

No Etch and definitely no Marshall... god if we have Marshall we might as well forfeit every game against Ricky Ray since it's a given that he'll throw 40 straight complete passes and keep the offense on the field 75% of the game.   
 
As said before... why settle for guys who have been around the league and have never excelled above mediocrity.    I'd rather give it to someone with at least a chance to rise to the top.

Like I already said .... If Boltus is back at training camp then that is a huge red flag
