TO is just desperate enough to gamble on Willy being a potential star down the road with Ray being gone for most of the season. 
There are alot of factors at play in TO.  New stadium, losing record, low attendance, things that don't allow for extended losing streaks with unknown QBs.  Lefevour seemed like a desperation move that paid off this weekend. 
 
 
 

Barker just told H&L that Walters demanded Heath was included. Barker resisted but after trying many times not to include him felt they had to make the deal to get a QB.

Think that my earlier point about Walters understanding CDN content and need to build through the draft.....has been hammered through, with this trade....

I wish Drew well, but he's got to get cured of the deer in headlights slow reaction time, or defenses are just going to play him the way they have played him all last year and the first few games of this year - blitz and make him either throw it away or take the sack.  Quick-draw McGraw Nichols has been winning because defenses aren't used to a quick release QB for Winnipeg, they haven't had to worry about it in years.

I can't believe people are unhappy with Glenn? He's played way better then Willy has in the last two seasons.
The Als and Riders offenses were completely broken and he still managed to out up decent numbers.
With Lapolices short pass offense and the improvement of our o line he should do really well here.
Our QB depth definitely took a step forward today.

Oh come on now...had not for some bad drops Nicholas could of had 10 TDs. 
His accuracy also has been very good, as I said before... You can't blame him when the play calls are super conservative.

Mike and your self are exaggerating bigime.   One time Dressler had to go back to get the ball...what about the three times the ball was dropped perfectly into his hand?
What about Roosevelt having to make highlight reel catches by errant Durant throws?
Nicholls isn't a world beater but after 6 games you can't pin it all on luck.  He's way better then Willy and if Lapolice even decides to use Harris properly and calls better plays then maybe the TDs will increase.

Franklin has to be at the bottom of the list or maybe above Cato.. has he even played a down this season?

What has impressed me is when we needed a drive Nichols has led the team down the field. 

That being said, those two games were the hardest I've seen the Riders play all year.  Now watch them just fall apart against the Eskimos and make Reilly look like a star.

You want to trade for a 31 year old receiver who is out for the season with "a complete tear of his medial collateral ligament (MCL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as well as his meniscus in his right knee"?
 
As for Glenn's play this season, can any QB look good with Montreal's offence the way it is now?

hardly, they acquired him for cheap and moved him for more than they gave up to get him when another player had replaced him on the roster. It's really good asset management to be honest. Glenn is probably still a better qb than both Willy and Nichols at this point so we upgraded the qb position AND got a first round pick and pretty good player as well. Not too shabby. 

Doesn't anyone else remember LeFevour would have one big game and then completely stink it up the next week. 
I'd say Durant and Reilly were much bigger tests against us...

Riders need to stop taking stupid penalties too.  They screwed themselves big time on the first TD drive.
