Dano is worth zero at this point. I also doubt they give up on Ehlers. If they were to give away a roster player I'd assume it would be someone like Copp or maybe Roslovic.

Looking at all those stats with Laine, it blows my mind that a few people on here wanted to trade him away because of his slump... look at the names of the players on those lists... the guy is among elite company when it comes to scoring goals.

My conscious would feel guilty for taking advantage It would be on par to those older folks who get conned into giving money to strangers over the phone because they actually believe the CRA is after them and/or that I'm a long lost relative that needs to borrow money. I'm glad that you cannot truly prove that their is some kind of issue with a wage gap and that we do live (at least in North America) in a place where regardless of gender anyone can make an equal salary based on education and experience. It's a great place to be!

How so? It proved nothing? Can you provide me with specific companies that pay a higher wage for male cashiers over female cashiers for no other reason then because of gender? I would love to hear about all these companies who do this! Stats with zero context proves jack squat.

Once again please provide specific companies that pay their cashiers a different salary based on gender. Until you can provide real concrete examples you have completely lost this debate. Your above example is absolutely terrible because it provides zero details at all. Does it take in account that their is way more female cashiers at Wal Mart and maybe because they pay so low it brings the average down? Does it take in account that more men work at hardware and specialty stores which may bring those averages up? A company like Costco which pays a higher then average salary, how much more do they pay the male cashiers compared to the females? Same with Wal Mart who is the #1 employer in North America? How about fast food places, how much more does McDonalds, Subway and all the other big chains pay the males more then the females. I can tell you 100% as I know people who currently work and have worked at all of those places that they pay the exact same wage for each gender. No males get any kind of bonus or kickback from having a weiner. Seriously eternal optimist... it's scary that some people can be such sheep and be influenced on anything with absolutely zero weight behind it.

From my untrained eyes to me it seemed like last season everyone was flying around and crashing into the boards and everyone seemed to be playing like how Tanev is playing right now. It seemed like they had way more puck control in the offensive zone and they cycled the puck way more. The last few weeks it seems to me that everyone is just watching the puck in our own end and waiting for an odd man rush to generate any kind of scoring. Like you said Wheeler and a whole bunch of guys are floating and just standing still and waiting for the goalies to make the save and hope that the puck gets flipped up down ice.

LaFrance really hasn't done much outside of his one play off game a few years back. I thought Augustine ran with more power and seemed to be a cheaper and better solution.

OMG you guys are such nerds.... I used dentists as an example because they make twice as much as hygienists and they are a male dominated field. I said this to show that you can't take an average of everyones salaries because some people (men) tend to pursue higher paying jobs then females. Dentists themselves charge whatever the F they want. It's not like men charge more to clients because they are men... every dentist charges whatever they bloody well want to. It's not a set fixed rate. Jesus Christ the naysayers are realllllllly stretching to try to make their point. How about you look up the salaries of people working as a cashier at Wal-Mart, I'm pretty sure both men and women both make a small pitiful salary that is the same between both genders.

We will use dentists for an example. It's predominately a male dominated field. Dental hygienists are predominately female. You would propose that in order to equal out the numbers that the dentists should be making an equal salary to the hygienists? Lets do some basic math. Average dentist makes about 180 000 Average hygienist is about 50 000 In order to balance the numbers based on your link the dentist would need to take a pay cut and the hygienist would take a massive raise where both make 115 000 to equal everything out? Alternatively the only other way to make gender pay equal on that link you posted would be to force Canada to employ at each job an exact split of 50/50 with both genders. I don't see why people can't understand why the numbers favor the male side because most men pursue careers that pay better while most women pursue lower paying jobs and also factor in that most will go on maternity leave if they have children and/or will stay at home.

That's an average of everyones salaries put together. That doesn't equate a pay gap between genders. The only way that would ever equal out with everyone making the same amount of money with no difference between jobs or genders would be if we were communist. What you want to post is the average salary between genders doing the exact same job with the exact same qualifications at the exact same company with the exact same amount of experience. Jeeze if people were so easily duped by looking at that link then no wonder why so many people are sheep and will believe anything told to them.

The refs don't need to be the ones to be blamed. I'm siding with Goalie on the top 2 lines just absolutely putting half ass efforts. It's sad when over the last 5 games the best players have been the bottom 2 lines.
