Really tired of the criticism towards the fans and the media's insistence to reference the number of empty seats, rather than what has been sold. I even heard Lawless on H&L last night saying the stadium was too big - good freakin' grief... we've only played a dozen games there, give it some time!!! Last year was one of the worst seasons on record; coupled with a new stadium opening that was delayed a year and in a location that was more than a 5 min walk for St.James folk. Did everyone expect us to be selling out after that abomination last year?
 
I chose to see it this way: Game #1 we sold 24K and change, game #2 we sold 27K+ and for game #3 we'll be over 30K no problem. (29,100 is from yest. aft remember). 
 
People have the audacity to call out fans for that???

Tait is king, no question. In Hollywood, they talk of actors being an "everyman"....Tait is "every reader". He really is just one the boys, and personifies his target audience. One of the great keys of any media is understanding your audience. I'm not sure anyone "gets" their audience the way Tait does.  I read his articles and think "I'd just like to sit and have a beer with the guy and bullshit about sports"...

I like panels that have intelligent discourse.  These people have access to all sorts of information and bigwigs I would never have.
 
I can't stand the talking heads phenomenon.
 
3 or 4 people talk over each other as bombastically as possible and are just as happy to have shock value as meaningful thought.  It doesn't matter if you have a point, you just have to have a "strong take".  No matter how stupid it might be.

I don't recall reading a single complaint about traffic last week. Everyone I spoke with that attended said traffic wasn't a problem. That said, I lived in river heights and fort rouge when I first went to bomber games 35+ years ago and remembered traffic and parking always being a problem at polo park.
It is nigh time Winnipeggers quit whining about the location and the traffic.
Ditto asper. It is quite possible Winnipeg might not even have a new stadium to ***** about without him.

I'm no hipster but the originality of this show, with its layers of comedic nuances, delivered with professional timing, in a fast pace, makes it a hit with me.

Doubt there are a 1000 fans wondering around polo park that will go to the game on a whim.

This premier is a joke. Look for more acts of so called accountability as his arrogant party shuffles towards defeat. What a jerk.

It's all posturing by Selinger. His popularity is slipping badly. Even if there is ever a fans on the board they will have no power anyway.

Are you sure you're not a member of the Winnipeg media?  Your instincts to jump to the negative conclusion in every circumstance is something they value and cherish.

This is not a good thing for Manitoba taxpayers. This is basically the ndp finding a way for the taxpayer to pay down the loans the taxpayer funded.
 
It is good for the football team though, however, at the end of the day I'd rather private companies were sponsoring the Bombers and crown corporations stuck to their knitting.

The location is just fine. People need to get over it. Especially those not paying for the stadium.
Most people I've spoken with have discovered the park and rides are excellent travel options. The rapid transit/train argument is somewhat specious. The buses are direct and usually take 20 - 30 minutes. Not a big deal.
If listening to a post game show is the difference-maker the Japanese invented a great new technology: a portable radio.

I like how ISO is mad because he hasn't figured out that they have made portable AM radios yet. 
 
Also, the bus situation will only improve, assuming that Sammy Katz has some buddies that want to make some cash building a rapid transit line down into the U of M.

I had the post game show going on my phone on the bus ride back to the park and ride, had people ask me to turn it up so they could listen.
 
I'll happily take the bus to every game for the next 10,20,30 years... No waiting in traffic in my car AT ALL... hell yes
