  1. Marnie needs to stop meddling in football ops!
  2. http://bluebombers.com/article/blue-bombers-release-two-add-mcknight-to-practice-roster
  3. The cycle for Bomber head coaches goes -> co-ordinator, head coach, tsn analyst, coordinator. Lapo won't be getting a cheque from the Bombers next year but Burke will, so Lapo will start coaching again and Burke will take his place on TSN.
  4. We all know you don't have any tickets
  5. Wikipedia: Kelly signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League in time for the 2011 CFL season. In his first year in the league, Kelly recorded 383 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Kelly's second season in the league was less productive, he only played in 6 of the 18 games and only recorded 107 yards and 1 touchdown. On May 23 2013 Kelly was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats following the aqusition of WR Lyle Leong.
  6. Who said its awesome? Take the stick out ya ass boiiii
  7. Rod Williams is a free agent. He would be a good pick up.
  8. Consistently mediocre for two years now. The problem is we don't have anyone better.
  9. Rebuilt 80% of their roster and their entire coaching staff after 2011. All they had was a good QB and a great receiver and they built around that. I'll take your word for it but guys like Getzlaf, Best & Shologan have been there for 6 or 7 years now. True but that's only 3 players out of a 46 man roster, and Best is probably their worst offensive lineman right now. I'd stack Henoc Muamba and Chris Greaves up against those guys. The point is that over 2 years, they went out and rebuilt their Canadian talent by getting Labatte, Picard, Heenan, Watman, Hurl, Foley, Milo, etc. The only Canadians left from 2011 are Getzlaf, Shologan, Butler, McHenry, Huclack and McCollough. Six guys. And they totally revamped their import talent at every position. The one thing they really had in place already was a good QB. As soon as we can find that, we should be able to return to being competitive.

  11. People want to cut Denmark, well sorry to tell you but he's been our most consistent receiver this year, as sad as that may be.
  12. Two years to be competitive which I'll define at 7-9 wins and the playoffs or two years to be a legit contender, which I'll define as 10+ wins? At least two years just to make the playoffs again, every other team is at least competitive right now, we have some catching up to do. Saskatchewan went from 1-7 on Labour Day in 2011 and a final record of 5-13, to 8-10 the next season and look where they are now. A quick turnaround is definitely possible. But the Riders drafted well, were aggressive in free agency, and most importantly already had a good QB in place. I don't know if the Bombers can replicate that, but it wouldn't be totally out of the question if they play their cards right. C'mon, the Riders were a talented team that needed some tweaking, this outfit needs a QB, oline, receivers, linebackers and DB's. A talented team that needed some tweaking? Since 2011 they replaced their RB, 4 out of 5 starting OL, 3 out of 5 starting receivers, 3 out of 4 starting DL, all 3 linebackers, and their entire secondary. Tell me again how they only needed some tweaking.

  14. Brandon Stewart has been brutal all year, I don't care if he got an interception today. He should be gone. Easiest spot in the secondary to ease a new guy into anyway. Boatman is terrible. Is Douglas healthy? If he is, Boatman should be gone. Our Canadians simply aren't good enough. Can we get Pencer in at right tackle? How much worse than Boatman could he be? Then we could get Aaron Woods involved on offence or put Bo Smith at safety. Why aren't we using Anthony Woodson? Let him get some reps at RB in order to put another import receiver in. We barely run the ball anyway so what could it hurt? He has potential coming out of the backfield at the very least. It's time to bring in a new receiver. Let Wallace Miles get a shot or bring in an NFL cut asap. Unfortunately none of these changes will do jack **** until we get a capable quarterback.
  15. Canadian starters, Riders vs. Bombers... Riders - Getzlaf, Labatte, Picard, Best, Heenan, Shologan, Foley, Butler. Bombers - Muamba, Muamba, Greaves, Sorensen, Swiston, Watson, Kohlert, Etienne. If you were looking for a reason why the Bombers can't compete... well there you go.
  16. The difference is that Hufnagel had just been fired whereas Clements is still the OC in Green Bay with no sign of losing his job anytime soon.
  17. That would be awesome. I think you'd have to really shell out to get him though. According to this article, NFL offensive coordinators make an average of $800,000 per year. And I doubt he would leave Green Bay for anything other than a huge pay increase, so you're potentially looking at $1.2+ million per year. That's a hefty price tag.
  18. That would be nice but I doubt it. I've also added Matt Dunigan to the list. Time to bring back Dunigan? Recent surveys say yes.
  19. I don't consider 2 names "quite a few"... and I don't consider either one a realistic candidate... but since you insist, I've added them to the initial list.
  20. And if Higgins isn't available? Go with a new guy?
  21. There has been a lot of comments lately about the Bombers needing to go with an experienced head coach (in the event Burke gets fired this year), so I decided to go have a look at the records of all the guys who have held HC jobs in the CFL and are still involved with the game. Apologies if I missed anyone notable. The records aren't pretty, unfortunately, but that's why these guys aren't head coaches anymore. Who do you think would be the best fit? Tom Higgins' record sure stands out. How about going with a guy who maybe didn't do so well the first time around, but may learn from his mistakes? Stubler didn't get much of a shot and the fact the Argos didn't win another game after his firing might speak to how little talent he had to work with. Richie Hall had an okay experience, and he is back to leading one of the top defences in the CFL. It's clear that no matter what direction we go, the guy would be bringing some baggage with him. But it's not completely unheard of for a coach to have little success in his first shot, then turn it around when he finally gets another chance. What do you think? Or would you rather go with a high-potential rookie again, like Dave Dickenson, Jacques Chapdelaine, or Chris Jones? The Experienced Candidates Marcel Bellefeuille Record as HC: 27-35 (.435) Paul Lapolice Record as HC: 16-28 (.364) Rich Stubler Record as HC: 4-6 (.400) Richie Hall Record as HC: 16-20 (.444) George Cortez Record as HC: 6-12 (.333) Doug Berry Record as HC: 27-26-1 (.500) Tom Higgins Record as HC: 72-53-1 (.571) Danny Maciocia Record as HC: 33-38-1 (.465) Greg Marshall Record as HC: 1-7 (.125) Jeff Reinebold Record as HC: 6-26 (.188) Matt Dunigan Record as HC: 4-14 (.222)
  22. Oh great now Stegall's wearing a Lions jersey
  23. The only fact is that Edmonton traded for Reilly's rights and Winnipeg didn't. The rest is speculation and hearsay.
  24. If you actually believe we had NO SHOT at Reilly, you're just being naive.
