Is Nichols back for the Saskatchewan game ?..... I know he is to be re-evaluated... but if he was good to go ?
I don't think they will take Nichols off the 6 game early. That's a lot to pay a guy for 1 game.
I believe the Bombers save 75K for every 6 games Nichols is on the injured list.

Yeah, I think it's Calgary who the Bombers need to keep an eye on. That last home game on Oct 25th could be for 1st place.
It will be interesting if the Bombers do clinch 1st as they have a bye for the last week and then would get another bye for the 1st round of playoffs. At least their next game would be at home and the fans could help them get back into game mode and not have a sluggish start.

For a team who got schooled and handled easily..basically in both games they sure yap and boast..its embarrassing..
Gainey..MCray..Edem..Moncreif..yapping off and taunting when down by 39..like really??
And c'mon Weasle Dickenson..get a handle on your me first team..I use the term team loosely..we watched a team play..wpg
Same with the pregame **** they tried at mid field...we didnt bite on the bait..the soundly whipped them. What a class less bunch
I didn't notice any pregame stuff. Did they try to stand at mid-field again?

Jeffcoat extended this offseason I believe.
Jeffcoat is signed for next year.
McCallister was released last week. Who knows if he even offered a PR spot but the practice roster is full. If they wanted to keep him they could have juggled things around however. Anderson could have been rostered as a 3rd QB or Santiago could have been put on the injury list. But those moves would have cost more salary.
I'll text into the Coach's Show to see if McCallister was even offered a PR spot.

I was at the game last night and I don’t know if I’m crazy but the Eskimos seem to absolutely blast the music over the PA system every time they told their crowd to get loud. I don’t know if it was the fact that I was very sober but they seem to pump the artificial noise a lot more than most stadiums. Is this a legal tactic? I remember teams being flagged years ago for doing something similar.
I know Regina does something similar. They tend to play music even when the 20 second clock starts and their drum-line seems to play right up until the snap.

Riders havent beaten anyone yet. They were gifted a win in Montreal. I think Ottawa takes it to them tonight. Start of a 3 game skid.
I kept on picking the Riders to lose as they were beating bad teams. I finally picked them to win tonight.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

Gotta give some serious love for Medlock who was automatical. Making 50 yard field goals look easyyy.
He's 21-25 on field goals this year but 3 of the misses were when McGuire was the holder.
I think Medlock is a lot more comfortable with Strevy as the holder.

It's time to hand the punting duties over to Jefferson...
He's apparently an option at punt return if needed. That I'd like to see.

I love that the Lions included PETA in their tweet. 🤣
Depends on the team. Some offer housing while others (like the Bombers) give a housing allowance. I don't know about other teams but there was a report around the time IG Field opened about breakfast and lunch being provided to players. The housing money is not included in the Cap but iirc the cost of the food is.
FYI - the minimum PR salary was raised to $750 every 2 weeks in the 2014 CBA according to CFLdb. I can't find anything that indicates whether it went up again with the recent CBA.
It's my understanding that Bomber player salaries include 2 thousand bucks that goes towards a food allowance. I'm sure the players get their monies' worth with that deal.

lack of attention span with each successive generation is a problem. Long form writing went by the wayside so long ago as the Twitter generation wanted 140 characters or less before they get bored. Now it's shiny objects (pics/vids) or nothin'.....******' kids.....
Yeah, you don't have to go any further than TSN.ca or the Bombers' website to see that the main focus these days is video.

Yeah, the Riders were fortunate that Adams was out with a concussion when they played a few weeks back.
