If I were you, and knowing Lulay's injury history and our ability to get to a QB, I'd be more worried about how well you think your #3 QB can play, because if Jennings isn't good to go, there's a very real chance that Ross might have to after the 2nd or 3rd sack.

Speaking of Lions QBs, they are only gonna dress 2 for Friday's game.

They displayed the financial cost on screen. And it looks like the stadium isn't that much more than IGF once the repairs and extras are factored in.

It riders only on hook for $25 million. They will be a cash cow for a long time. Bombers debt related to IGF is an albatross.

The team also spent close to $20 million towards team amenities (locker room, weight room, barbershop etc) which I understand aren't included in the quoted price tag of the stadium.

He actually catches it, tucks it and as he's getting up to run he punches the ball out with his other hand...  if that isn't a catch and then loss of possession then I haven't been watching football long enough (I started remembering games in 84).  The c'mon centre really fumbled that call ?

And the crazy thing is the C'mon Centre saw enough in their eyes to overturn the call. I thought they weren't going to overturn close calls so I guess this wasn't a close call. I'm ok with the call if they use the same standard of catch / no catch all season but I have my doubts that they will.

I think the biggest issue is that video replay officials have a confirmation bias. Ideally it would be better that the video review official doesn't know the call on the field and they are asked to interpret or make their own call which will either confirm or disagree with the field refs call

Yup, if it's a close call the Command Centre will uphold the call on the field. Meanwhile, if it's a close call the officials will rule in favour of the scoring play or turnover so it gets reviewed.  It's quite the paradox.

  5. One of my earliest training camp memories is as a kid watching the team practice at the Velodrome a few times.  Not sure if I saw Mark Chipman tryout for the Bombers but one guy I remember was Forrest Kennerd - Trevor's twin brother. I'm surprised the 5 foot 5 QB didn't make the team, they must have been biased against Canadians or something.

I remember Charlie Roberts was all offended when we brought in Onterrio Smith. Thought it was disrespectful when we brought in competition for him.

I really liked Henri Childs when he was here though.

Yeah, I was at Smith's first practice (he was injured and just rode the bike on the sideline).  After practice the media wanted to talk to Roberts but he literally ran away from them and hid under the grandstand. Good times.
