  1. Next up for Hirings: Doug Brown as DLine coach Milt as Receivers coach
  2. Couldn't hurt to add more help in the strength/training/athletic therapy departments. Keep the guys healthy, keep the guys in good shape.
  3. Part of it honestly could have nothing to do with the team itself. Could just be the city. If I had my choice of living in another city out of all the CFL cities, Winnipeg would be the 2nd last on my list. Regina would be dead last.
  4. So do the Bombers not currently have a strength and conditioning coach currently?
  5. A coach who insists he has nothing to do with the offence, cannot be given credit for offensive players improving. Jade.... improved because he got to play. Hall... improved because he got to play. Denmark... had been a constant. Maybe he improved later in the season because they stopped randomly picking a QB out of the hat and finally stuck with someone. Built some chemistry, stayed healthy, maybe that is what we see. Muamba... maybe improved due to Burke. I would put it more on it being a FA year. If you want to give Burke credit for those players improving, then we need to address other things too. OLine sucks? Because of Burke. Kicking is Bad? Burke's Fault. QB carousel? Inept Offence? Swirling Winds in the stadium? Beer Prices? All Burke's Fault. /mic drop
  6. Any creedence to Burke being a "one of the best DC's in the league" shouldn't count for jack when determining if he should return or not, especially when when he is possibly THE WORST HEAD COACH IN THE LEAGUE. I will be tuning in to the final game. I want to see something, anything, any glimmer of hope that next year will be better. Maybe Burke can just call in sick for the final game... I'll chip in and pay for the doctor's note.
  7. I am quite worried the turmoil with the club (ie. coaches, oline, GM etc.) is going to turn off the FA QB's. It might be better for them to stay in the environment where they know whats going on, instead of coming here for uncertainty. Yes I know money and the starter's job should be the deciding factor, but it isn't always. Might be better to take a bit less money for a year or two, and stay in a situation that you know is stable.
  8. I support Walters. Why? Because he is currently in charge, and is trying to right the ship. Will I support a different GM? Yes. Because they will also be attempting to right the ship.
  9. Trading Hall moreso opens up a spot on the DL to hopefully see what some other players can do at that position..... But we all know player evaluation is going to take a back seat to Burke trying to scrape together wins and make a case for returning.
  10. So, has there been any word out of Higgins since heading into the CFL offices, that he has ANY interest whatsoever in becoming a GM again? I'm not discounting the opinion that Higgins is a viable candidate... but if he has no interest in it......
  11. Would be interested to hear Mike's opinion on this.... really appreciate everyone's thoughts on this trade.
  12. I am in favour of the trade overall. Not in favor of the pick differential especially in that the pick we received is 2015, and we give up in 2014. Overall though, I am in favour of trading anyone/everyone that has the ability to walk at the end of this season. We need to improve our Canadian content, and if it means giving up decent American talent... then I am for it.
  13. Trade him. It is done all the time in other sports when teams realize that a FA won't be signing back with them. Procure some picks/talent, and start the trading.
  14. Seriously. Why do we bring a guy in like McKnight, sit him for weeks, and then release him without any playing time? How hard is it to get a kicker up to snuff to kick in game? Really disappointed he didn't at least get a look.
  15. I get that you may not want to sign the contract and commit to the 2 years..... then don't waste the time and come up here in the first place !
  16. LOL, that Drake announcement, heard it and was WTF is that? Want to turn around the culture of your team? Bring in people who have had success in the sport.... not a guy who does music and was on Degrassi lol
  17. So if the recent history of our additions holds true, the majority of these players will never see the field, and will probably be cut or leave the team within the week. Lets see what the new talent can do !
  18. Swaggerville IMHO was both good and bad. It brought a lot of attention to the team, so good. The new attention to the team resulted in a lot of players getting swollen heads that the show was all about them, so bad in that respect. We win or lose as a team, so the team should get the attention.... not just a select group of players trying to play themselves up in the media.
  19. I am concerned that Burke is going to run off a string of wins, and get consideration for coming back next season. Excited that this will be a dramatically different team this season, can't wait to see what Walters/NewGM have up their sleeves to right the ship here.
  20. I care, I want to see improvement. But of course, I want to see players play that won't ever get a chance under this useless idiot of a coach. Get McKnight in there, let Pencer work through his problems. Get Carter on the field.
  21. The team has ceased development of it's talent under Burke. Our Defence is plain and predictable, and unable to adapt. Our Offence is terrible. But I can deal with a terrible O, if the Defence was good, and players were developing. I hate this coach.
  22. I saw some merit to it, the idea of trading a commodity that we wouldn't be retaining. 3 problems with that: Maybe we aren't losing Henoc, maybe we are waiting for the new CBA Collaros is a FA this offseason Lawless is a hack.
  23. Its on the Free Press Twitter feed that Pencer will start..... I almost peed a little in my excitement. Really happy to finally see this guy in game action. Hopefully he is worth the wait.
