It will really be telling this offseason, to see how the QB musical chairs affects our ability to convince new QBs to come here? Would you sign on somewhere that you would never be given a proper chance to succeed or even prove what you can do? I certainly would not.

I wonder if Offensive coaches generally turn out as better head coaches, compared to those that come from the defensive side of the ball. It seems to me that as a head coach, its more important to be more offensive minded. It just scares me how little Burke seems to care about the offensive side of the ball.

Is there any way that on the RH side of the screen, that we could get the Recent Blog Entries section and the Recent Topics section flip-flopped? The blogs aren't updated nearly as much as the Recent Topics are, and its a bit easier to get into the Topics without having to scroll past the advertising that is now on the site between the two sections.

I have to say, I am really digging the Blue and Gold. At first I was startled by it, but its really sharp looking. Great Job. I would really like to see a bit of the gold sticking around after the new banner is decided upon as well.

Being the starting QB for a team, mainly because you are paid more than the other QB's, isn't a legitimate reason to be the starter. That seems to be a bit of an arguement. Mack signed Buck for X, but because the two backups make less, then it would be ridiculous for Buck to be on the bench, because he gets paid more. Let Hall start some, let Buck start some, Let Goltz start some. Does it really matter at this point? We will probably end up with 3 new QBs in camp next year anyways. Oh wait, we don't want that? We want consistency? Then we ***** and moan about how a QB struggles, and how they should still be starting once we have decided to try someone else.

Thats what I had assumed, but you know, just wanted to clarify. I would love to see what a comparison to Lulay or Ray, or even Rielly would look like compared to Buck/Goltz. I might have to jump off a bridge after seeing it however, so it may be for the best that we don't.

I am assuming that these stats don't take into account Goltz being under centre for the goal line short yardage in the first couple of games?

I would think its not really his call. If Walters feels like he can help our team, he will bring him in.... Whats the worst that happens? We add a good player?

Really enjoyed the presser, impressed by Walters. (pausing it at work really resulted in some very hilarious pictures of Walter's expressions)

I would think if we win, that it buys Crowton a week or two... thats about it. Burke won't be fired, players won't be traded, fans will be appeased for a week. Would love to see Hall step up and take control, and be successfull. I just don't buy that it happens week 1. I think Goltz should have gotten another game, and then go to Hall if it didn't work out.

If Mack does indeed go, the onus is on the board to bring in a successful candidate. If at that point the next candidate proves to be a dud, get a NEW BOARD. Stop with the status quo of having a bunch of lame ducks picking the new lame duck. I am excited to see a new direction for this team, but appreciate the work Mack has done with the draft/scouting.

Like it or not, he is still a Bomber. If he wasn't employed by the team, for sure go spout off whatever you want to the media. The team pays you to be here, so shut your mouth until they aren't paying anymore.

Just another thing for the commentators to harp on about during this weeks game. 4 quarters of Buck controversy.

Release Buck then, if he is all confident he could be playing elsewhere. Same thing happened earlier this season when he got hurt, undermining the coach's decision to start Goltz (runs to the media telling anyone/everyone who will listen that he is healthy enough to play). Get a 3rd string QB in here who will support/mentor the new guys, tired of this my name is Buck and I am the starter, or I go and cry in the corner.

This should have been what happened in the offseason. We all saw it coming.

Wondered that about Pencer as well. Hopefully it is just a case of stashing him away for a bit. Does this mean that Edwards is good to go for week 1 then?

Having issues on the site this morning, fonts all whacked out, like having to highlight text with the cursor to be able to have it viewable. Stuff like Forum Titles aren't viewable for me. Would love to upload a screen shot, but sadly my proficiency with doing such a thing isn't working out currently.

Really excited to find the board tonight (after following the link in the now removed announcement on OB). Looking forward to some good football talk again, instead of having to wade through the petty BS !! Go Blue !
