in terms of who was better than Calvillo without taking career length into account DIckenson and Garcia are absolutely better. I'd argue for Khari Jones being above Calvillo for a peak as well just because of what Khari did without ever having a good offensive line like the ones Montreal had. That's just taking into account guys from "recently" Obviously the lengthy career counts for something, but the dude is highly over rated just because he played for ever. Similar to Damon Allen.

if we're talking straight up qb talent I don't know if Calvillo is a top 5 guy at all. He played for a long long time, that's really all he did that was outstanding. Lots of guys were better but no one other than Allen was able to last that long.

Not so sure. Unknown Poster is probably the staunchest Burke apologist and Pierce fan on the board. He's either serious, or doing some deep water trolling. There's a better way to handle it. If as a 20 year veteran qb you don't like the offense the coach puts in I'd think the way to go about it is talk to the guy throughout the week and try and convince him he should tweak things and not throw tantrums on the field or sidelines during the games.

Burke and Hartley are both a couple of assholes who think that intimidation still works in hockey and that a goon is as valuable as someone with actual skill. Pretty sure Hartley has pulled stunts like this before, just a real piece of **** that guy.

I don't know who had the best career, but I'm saying I'm not giving it to Calvillo just because he played forever. His playoff record quite frankly sucks considering the weak sisters in his division most of his time.

I still think the crappy division and only 3 Grey Cup wins despite being on good teams every year takes Calvillo out of the equation no matter how big his numbers were in regular seasons. The Als feasted off down in the dumps Toronto and Hamilton teams, expansion Renegades and the Bombers splitting time between the west and the basement. I think the stars aligned for Calvillo and he failed to take full advantage of it. It's unlikely anyone will ever touch his career numbers, but I can't call it the best career just because he played the longest.

For me the single thing that holds Calvillo back is all his choke jobs in Grey Cup games. He was gifted a pretty weak division to play in almost his whole time in Montreal and with all those Grey Cup appearances did not get nearly enough wins.
