The Unknown Poster Posted May 20, 2014 Report Share Posted May 20, 2014 I know virtually nothing about wine but I have developed an affinity for red (at a decent restaurant I will usually order a glass of house red which ranges from good to swill depending on where you go). US Zinfandel is a big red that's not too expensive, 'Old Vines' make a bigger and better wine.. Canuck's make better white's than reds, especially the Kelowna wineries, look for VQA on the label. mbrg Posted June 5, 2014 Report Share Posted June 5, 2014 There's a Hungarian wine called Bull's Blood. Sold for about $6 back in the day. Awful awful stuff. Sour grape juice cut with diesel fuel. Not positive on the price, think it's under $12 - Jacob's Creek is a nice Australian Shiraz. Tastes about the same as Wolf Blass yellow label and costs $6(?) less.
