  1. That little finger wag is just great, he's telling him, you cheeky bugger, you're not beating me even in the semi final.
  2. You know I would never hire Chris Jones no matter how good he is at his job. You can't trust the guy. He has bailed for bigger and better things every step of the way often in messy and shady ways. That's just a bad situation from my standpoint. What if things take too long in Saskatchewan and he feels the heat but say Montreal comes calling, does he up and bail for that?
  3. You are never as good as you think during win streaks and never as bad as you think during losing streaks... so where does that put the Bombers? Probably right around .500 actually. I still say they're a team that has their performance revolve around momentum. When they have it it's all fun and games but when they lose it they struggle to get it back. We'll win some fun games like we have lately and lose some ugly games like they did first game vs. the stamps.
  4. You're only as strong as your weakest link so all of a sudden some of the weaker parts of the OL got a lot stronger and the group looks a lot better. Nice to see.
  5. 100% accurate except for the only part that matters....
  6. It's one thing for fans to call you a hack but when your peers in the business are doing it.....
  7. well geeze after watching the heats for the 200m perhaps I under estimated De Grasse. Kid is just fast. Still think guys like Bolt just with their size are tough to beat cause Bolt just jogged the end of the 200 and still won his heat comfortably but De Grasse didn't expend a ton winning his heat without trouble either.
  8. I would absolutely love it. There are always ass clowns from the gap wearing their rider **** to mcmahon stadium even when the Riders are no where to be seen. I maintain that my favourite CFL moment is the 09 Grey Cup. ******* were annoying as **** all day and watching them all instantly be silenced with one simple too many men penalty was glorious.
  9. Think he was just talking about the slow start and strong finish, but over a longer distance I can't see a guy that short being able to maintain the speed like the guys who are built to run the 200m.
  10. I read it on the internet so it must be true! It was very much the pick used on Oosterhuis that was traded for Brown. I think there was a third round pick involved as well but the first rounder was the main piece.
  11. Wait is this a second account for whichever guy was spewing this stuff last week? Trying to make it seem like there are more people agreeing with him?
  12. Rider employee. They pay him to spew all sorts of homer crap and the fan base laps it up.
  13. usually it's not about gaining a first down. It's usually just about field position and not taking chances with the ball. You know the other team is going to sit back waiting for you to try and force a first down so you go short and if you get a miracle run and get the first down great, if not you get some yards and punt the ball away and live to fight another day.
  14. They are so insulated from the rest of the league they actually believe the crap that their homer media spews.
  15. yeah Bolt is just a freak, there is no way a guy that tall with that long a stride should be able to have that quick a start. the 100m guys used to always be shorter and more powerful and have to take a bunch of steps but then here comes bolt who can hang with guys off the start and as the end of the race comes he just uses those great big long legs to keep powering through and leave them behind. Never see another guy like him I don't think. As for De Grasse, he's a bit of a slow starter too who gets faster as the race goes on so they say but given his stature I can't see him really being a threat in the 200m. Too many taller guys there who will use that natural advantage in the stride length to overcome slower starts.
  16. You know if I had been Dickenson I think my response to "win with some class" would have been simply "at least we can win"
  17. I think what the best part of this place is, is that most of the posters here aren't just Bomber fans, there's a whole lot of people here who are yes Bomber fans, but also fans of the league as a whole who have a great understanding of the CFL and other teams and don't just go on and on and on about how great everything blue is.
  18. You know you'd probably be looking at a simpler trade like getting a first round pick back. Just looking at what Doug Brown was traded for back in the day. Seems a similar situation.
  19. Oh please this is the reason people laugh at "rider nation" yes there are passionate rider fans out there, just like there are passionate fans of every team, where the Riders are different is that it became trendy to be a rider fan when they were starting to turn things around in the mid 2000s and TSN started openly fellatting rider fans for being so super duper awesome! All of a sudden everyone from Saskatchewan was a huge fan because look how awesome we are! Trouble is the vast majority of them just jumped on the bandwagon to be seen and to be cool but they're as phony as the anything. You get a bad stretch of seasons again (the riders have been fortunate to not have the extended poor seasons) all of a sudden that support will dry up. That's why Bomber fans are better fans. All the **** this team has put us through and tons of people will still sit through a storm and watch a game until 1 in the morning on a week day.
  20. What they really don't understand is that if they hadn't been flaunting so many rules and being fined already then they probably would have been warned about that. But when you put the target on your back and the league rules won't let the league really come down on you for the big things then you better believe that you don't get any benefit of the doubt for the little things. The Riders are going to be watched like a hawk from the league as long as Jones is there being his dickhead self and there is no leeway from the league for anything when it comes to the Riders. They are the problem child and they will be disciplined for absolutely everything because of past bad behaviour.
  21. No it was known that Mulumba was going to sign as a FA in the NFL, the thought was that he wouldn't stick around there too long.
  22. This is by far the best CFL message board out there.
