  1. but after this long is there any hope of that for Lapo? I don't believe people can change their personalities.
  2. So I know that Hall is the whipping boy, but it's interesting to me that so many people are pegging it on being not aggressive enough... I saw a too aggressive game plan vs. Edmonton to be honest. They blitzed and they blitzed a ton and Reilly just made plays down field. Likely woulda done better actually playing that passive game. Also I am pretty sure I saw Bowman catch 2 touchdowns because the rookie side of our backfield made the wrong call and left him uncovered. Is that on the coordinator or rookie mistakes? Maybe we need to stop and ask ourselves why we are always playing a bunch of rookies in the secondary and how many busts that causes... Once again people aren't being critical of the offense but come on, if Lapo stuck with Harris there was a chance to get a lead in that game, but no we come out throwing and have 2 completions and still punt the ball, then we pound Harris down their throats and stop using him in the redzone and kick a field goal rather than giving ourselves a shot at the touchdown. It's **** like that holds this team back more than anything. Lapo outsmarts himself and does the defensive coordinators job for him by stopping what's working before the D actually stops it.
  3. would also help to have an offensive coordinator who doesn't stop using his runningbacks when they get into the red zone.
  4. The arrogance from Carter and the Riders is astounding, as is the arrogance from the Esks, man I do love to see those arrogant types get what's coming to them.
  5. yeah I agree, I think if you make him be a pocket passer he'll get impatient and force something he shouldn't. Guy is always the most dangerous when he's scrambling.
  6. Booooo Saskatchewan! I ain't cheering for Ottawa to win, I'm cheering for the Riders to find new and interesting ways to make fools of themselves.
  7. Remember what Vince Lombardi said, if you lose, you're out of the family!
  8. plus maas lost his shine when they took away all the coaches challenges as well.
  9. yeah but you probably only get it because of family guy or something. Just watch the damned movies already, you won't regret it.
  10. 1722 yards from scrimmage for Harris this year and 7 touchdowns vs. 1775 yards from scrimmage for Roberts in 02 and 11 touchdowns... And Roberts wasn't the unquestioned key to the offense like Harris is for this team so I dunno that I can agree with this notion that Harris 2017 is better than 2002 Blink.
  11. On the other hand Reilly was there for every game for the Esks and it's no secret that guy is the key to Edmontons success.
  12. MOS after saying that:
  13. That wasn't dread, that was booze.
  14. and 2002 was arguably better than 2001. I mean Jones had like 46 TD passes that year. That's a mind bottling number.
  15. I maintain that part of the reason the Bombers generate as many turnovers as they do is because opponents get impatient and don't take the dink and dunk stuff that is there.
  16. Let Edmonton talk about how great they are, let the media talk about how great Edmonton is, I hope the Esks to a man believe that they're just the flat out better team. Let em get nice and fat and sassy and when Winnipeg shows up with the work boots on they can put them in their place.
  17. O'Shea did what he did with Matt Nichols as his qb, now I love what Nichols has brought to this team, but come on, when comparing him to Reilly or Ray or Mitchell?
  18. Surprised you didn't put June Jones on that list ahead of O'Shea too. Anything to downplay the Bombers and hype up everyone else.
  19. I am just saying it's pretty ******* easy to come up with a good offense when you have that collection of players, and we all used to sit around ourbombers at the time and ***** about Lapolice's play calling and wish for Khari Jones to call plays in the huddle instead, so not like everyone was wowed by it back then either. Hell he was fired from that position.
  20. Khari Jones, Milt Stegall in his prime, Arland Bruce, Charles Roberts, Mike Sellers... yeah wonder why an offensive coordinator would have success.....
  21. I dunno, I think Trestman deserves some props for what he did in Toronto this year as well. Oh well, the Bombers are always going to be criminally under rated around the rest of the country.
  22. Yeah that's true about Willy, time blends together and I just assumed Lapo had been here longer. Still I think these questions need to be asked about Lapolice. Never really developed a qb, guys who have looked good in his offense are few and far between... methinks he is over rated as an offensive guru.
  23. COTY is based on reputation unless one team has a remarkable rags to riches story.
  24. How is one player finding the footing and the other not being able to anything but outplaying him? Get your head out of your ass man.
