Today on Regina radio 620 the question was asked, "Which CFL non-playoff team will make the playoffs in 2020 AND which team that did make the playoffs will not make them?"

    Luc Mullinder answered:

"B.C. will make the playoffs...(and...wait for it)...Winnipeg will NOT make the playoffs!"

(I nearly choked on my sandwich upon hearing that...however Mullinder is a Bomber hater.)

Who cares?? These are the same people who think a career back up is a sure fire hall of famer, when it's equally as likely Fajardo will regress this year. Lol.  Our back up isn't any worse then there's was going into 2019, but they all pretend like they knew Fajardo was going to turn into a starter....hah

They try to pedal this narrative that we don't have anything after Collaros, because hoping for an injury is all they have. We have beat them 2 years in a row in there house. Now all of a sudden they are going to make a big leap even though they haven't gotten any better on paper...I for one aint buying it....

Crossing the border, you don't have the right to refuse a search. US Border Patrol do not need a warrant or probably cause to search.

Just to clarify, I don't believe they were crossing a border crossing. They were coming from Los Angeles to new Orleans i believe.  Why they chose that you way is beyond me though! 🤦

I wonder if this helped close the deal?

Would you be willing to babysit for the Jefferson's too? I assume it's all pro bono?

Yeah of course! Spread the word. I may regret this, but hey if I have to take 1 or 10 kids in for the team then that's just what I'll have to do.

Jefferson, Rose, Sayles, Streveler, hell even Walker .... 'Come on down to Winnipeg'.... I got you! Hah

  4. Strev will likely sign a deal and get a look in a training camp, but I just don't see him sticking anywhere other then maybe a practice roster.

Taysom Hill is far more versatile in his skill set then Streveler is. I don't know if Streveler can be as effective in the run game and catching passes like Hill does . He likely won't wow them as a pure pocket passer either so I stuggle to see the fit there. I feel like the CFL is where he belongs. But hey, glad he's getting to chase his dream!!

  5. Wasn't always complimentary of Lapo, thought he over complicated things sometimes and our offense always had trouble finding that killer instinct and I think passive play calls was definitely a part of that. It was clear that Collaros elevated the whole offense once he came in so I'm not sure how much of that  was on Nichols vs Lapo.

That being said, the offense played well enough to win on the road and in the GC, all against the best defenses so he deserves credit for good game planning there. I still believe he's a good OC, but not as irreplaceable as some seem to suggest.

Buck will need time to develop but he's had some time to watch and in sure by the end was helping Lapo.

This is the stupidest ******* argument in have ever seen. Give nichols the D we saw in this playoffs backing him up he would have won a lot more playoff games. Also calgary this year is not the same as Calgary last year so don't even try and make that comparison.

Yup, it was all on the defense I guess. Collaros just watched from the sideline and drank Gatorade, had nothing to do with our success in the playoffs or the GC win! Lol.  Your argument is based purely on speculation and what 'might' have happened, mine is based on history and what actually happened ,yet im the one with the stupid argument? Lol. Okay then...

  7. It was a bad game, they happen. LA looked better that night and more desperate. If they showed up in the 1st we're likely at least grabbing a point. Schief couldn't bury at the end though. Big games against Dallas upcoming, let's see how they respond at home.

  8. I like Nichols, when he was backing up Willy I was calling for him to get a shot and when he did he helped turn us into a good team and for that I'll be forever greatful. Also loved watching him at the parade, you could tell how much it meant to him. Even made me tear up a bit. But maybe that's okay if that's where it ends..You can't allow emotions to cloud your assessment of his play and just pay him for being a super sweet guy.

His play has been good and he's helped us win games for sure, but whether it's fair or not QB success is determined in big games and playoffs and that's where he's lacking. See our record vs Calgary last few years or only 1 playoff win vs Brandon Bridge....

These are really tough decision but you have to be able to make them if you wanna stay ahead of the curb and win championships. I'd really love to find away to keep him around as a backup, but i just don't think it's smart to dump starting QB money on him given his age, health, and record.

The O put up similar numbers to what the O was doing when Nichols was starter. This idea our O was consistent or good is just such a myth. We won with a below average O.

Again, you can't simply look at the final totals and get a complete picture of HOW those yards were earned. No one is saying our offense was some juggernaut, but Collaros just had the intangibles and made timely throws that gave our offense another level to deal with and that was the big difference from what we were used to with Nichols in my opinion. Escapability, making something out of nothing, throwing it up to a covered WR to let him make a play and not just settle for a check down, knowing when to run and ability to actually do it ect...

These things add up and make a huge difference between winning and losing. Collaros just took the O  to another level and that was good enough to help us win the GC.

No he didn't, so we had to go to another veteran qb. But what did he do to distinguish himself from what nichols was doing? Other than you know, not being matt nichols which is more than enough for people like you regardless of anything else.

I'm not a hater of Matt Nichols , but I also have eye balls.  Collaros's ability to navigate the pocket and extend plays is better, his willingness to give his WR a chance to make a play (especially on deep balls) and deliver it with accuracy is better, his ability to improvise when things breakdown is also better.. You can't always just look at the final numbers and know they whole story. It's important HOW he got those yards too. Collaros's run against the Riders with under 2 mins left isn't going to show up as a huge play in the stats, but it was the difference between the Riders having 4 seconds at the end vs punting earlier and the Riders having 30 seconds to tie it. To me that's something Nichols just doesn't do. Also the fact that Collaros had to  pick up this offense at the end of the year, where as Nichols has had years in this system! People don't seem to appreciate how difficult that is. The fact that Collaros was able to perform as good or better than Nichols in that short a time isn't exactly a shining endorsement for Nichols either. All I hope, is the Bombers don't just settle on him and not at least kick some tires on other FAs. If he's the guy they choose, I'll be cheering him on as much as the next fan. However, I also think it's possible to cheer him on and wish the best for him while still being realistic about his capabilities and deficiencies.

    Just my 2 cents though...

  11. Wow that's the most embarrassing piece of video I've seen from a professional team in my life! Williams might be the worst of all, got absolutely owned all night and couldn't take it. His best highlight was getting run over by Hansen lol.

Banks doesn't surprise me, he's soft as baby **** and a whiny little ***** to boot, hit him and he quits.

It's really no wonder the Bombers dominated this group of punks, they weren't ready for us physically or mentally.

Oh, the difference is huge.  And that makes all the difference.  When Nichols feels the pressure, he can't escape and chucks it away or goes to his bread and butter, the check down.   Zach showed a capability to escape pressure, and maneuver around buying time for receivers to get open.   You never saw that with Nichols.

Yeah ZC intangibles really make all the difference and they aren't as small as some believe because those 'little' plays add up to wins in the end. Scrambling in the pocket and eluding defenders doesn't always show up in the stat sheet but its absolutely needed in the CFL for success, especially in the playoffs. Does anyone really believe that Nichols would have taken off on 2nd and 5 from his own 5 yard line with 1:50 on the clock like Collaros did against the Riders to get a huge 1st?? No chance in my mind. He would have taken the safe play and or taken a sack and punted. That's the difference between the Riders having 40 seconds left vs 4 seconds left.

That's kind of you. Let Walters know so that he can write that into the offer and the contract.

Do you have a valid (clean) criminal record check and child abuse registry?

Yes my work already requires that! Lol

Don't worry fellas, I got this! May even make this into a business for Bombers player's and their wives. 🤔

Think I'll call it 'Babysitting for the W' lol

  14. Is Lapo and Hall leave I think we'll want to have a little more experience rather then promoting two guys from within, especially if we're able to resign many of our free agents and have a shot again next year. Seems too risky. I'd be more comfortable having Buck get the promotion to OC and then go get a guy like Claybrooks to take over at DC. P

  15. Not sure how to feel about Lapo. I don't love the passive plays when leading, but how much of that was execution? I feel that Nichols propensity to check the ball down and play it safe definitely hampered drives. I don't think there is any question that once Collaros came in we were a better offense. Collaros's ability to extend plays and throw the deep ball opened up Harris and the run game so well.

For me if it came down to it (obviously it wont) , I'd much rather have Lapo going forward then Nichols. Give Lapo a guy like Masoli or Bo Levi AND the best RB in the league and the offense would be unstoppable!

It's pretty obvious that if MOS wants to stay here then he will. Collaros said all kinds of great things about O'Shea that he is a leader of men, etc. He knows what he has here but doesn't in Toronto so he may be willing to sign with the Bombers again. A sure thing vs the Unknown.

Sure hope you're right, but I don't see it happening. Toronto will throw the kitchen sink at him and his wife is from Ontario. Plus he just won here, how could it get any better?

This may be just a dream but in my ideal world (maybe the hangover talking and I don't even think Matt would be interested) Matt becomes the QB coach Buck goes to OC if Lapo leaves, resign Strev and McGuire and try to get the best available FA.

    Just a theory.

Yeah he seems to still have something to prove and I'd be shocked if he's not playing next season .

I honestly feel terrible saying that about Matt, but after watching what Collaros was able to do in a short time with the same group, it's hard not to wonder if he was in the way at least a bit or just is a game manager like his shirt said today lol...

Or hey, maybe I'm wrong and he comes back and plays with a chip on his shoulder and leads us back!
