I want to see how they react to a being in a tight game in the forth quarter that will tell you a lot if they have truly turned the corner.

Kinda irrelevant. The CFL presumably has a process in place to deal with these kind of things. If BLM had an honest complaint, he should have approached the league, not used twitter.
Seriously. If I do something wrong at work, say I stole money, having staff post it on facebook is not the same as them reporting it to the owners.
    He does deserve the fine.

You and a bunch of other Bomber fans! Even on TV it sounded like there was more cheering going on for the Blue Bombers than there was for the Argos

Not sure why this thread is still going.
But... Nichols looked awful to start and then picked it up.
Not one of Nichols better games tho.
Major props to the D. When you get 6 turnovers a game the last 2 games pretty much... you had better win.

Great post, Dee. Love it. Just a couple of takes... How the hell does Thomas Demarco keep getting chances? Dan LeFevour cut by the Bucs? Did we not call that?? He was signed to the Argos PR & may be the starting qb for the Argos by season's end.

Compromise, Walters digs out his big brass balls and summons Willy to his office prior to game #10 puts a gun to his head and demands that he stop stealing food from the mouth of Clarence Denmark's baby(ies).  Chop chop problem solved, takes the spotlight off Willy and a ridiculous contract that makes him the highest paid backup in the history of the CFL.  Like it or not Willy will be working for drastically less money from this point onward, he had his chance to grasp the golden ring and fumbled it under the lights at center field.

Getting ahead of yourself is very likely. I think 2 games does not a season make. Let's just say that should they continue to play as they have in the past two games they will win their share of games. Will they win them all - I doubt it. Will they win enough to make the playoffs - well if they play like they did, they will certain have their own destiny in their hands not someone else's . Bottom line is they have to play and be coached with a solid game plan each and every game to address the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents. The coaches cannot have blind loyalty to the players, it has to loyalty won through performance. The past two games have certainly given them a look at what they have and what mistakes they have made concerning player talent and game preparation. So let's see what happens in the next two games. If they win they will be on a role. If they split they will have found themselves and can build from that. If they lose then it was a blip on the horizon and there is work to do. In any case let's not jump ahead but instead enjoy the moment and look forward optimistically to the next game.

Shayon Green eats charcoal for breakfast and farts out diamonds.  Then cuts them with his face.  I asked him if he washed them first and he gave me five seconds to walk away, fast.

These interviews and player homages are fine in context if they're done professionally and kept short. Unfortunately, on TSN, they are not. You can never rely on a good interview 'live', during a game. It just doesn't work. Therefore, you're actually doing a disservice to the player/honouree, and you're pissing off viewers.
I want to watch the game. I don't mind the detours for sideline information, but as much as I enjoyed the players when they played, say hello and a short little pat on the back and move on.
Maybe I'm wrong about this topic, but I just can't see the value of trying to mix the sport with those lame interviews...

On the upside, Kyle Walters never let Trevor Harris leave while relying solely on an aging Ricky Ray with an unproven backup...  so that's something.

Not that this really matters in the point you are trying to make here, but Jim Daley had 3 years of Head Coaching experience in Saskatchewan before he became our head coach.
He had an 18 - 36 record there.
The problem is that I don't see a Dave Ritchie equivalent out there.  Can't think of any coach out there right now with experience that I would want.

If Mills doesn't have a decent arm then why get excited about the guy because Mr Perfect is absolutely right about highlight videos? What do highlight videos not show? The bad throws & mistakes. You'd really need to watch a couple of full games to really make an assessment.  As far as trusting the scouts... Our scouts or other scouts? If it's our scouts, well...

On a side note I really enjoyed watching Michael Bishop play. The guy could throw the ball down the field effortless. Unfortunately he had no football IQ or pocket awareness but he sure did throw a pretty ball. To this day I don't think i've seen a quarterback throw wide field as effective as Bishop.
