Lots of rich (but they'll tell you they barely survive) farmers out that way... and in rural Manitoba for that matter.  But the Saskatchewan farmers are all Rider fans and they show it when they travel.

All I see with most people wearing smart watches is that they are constantly checking to see if they have reached their "steps" for the day or whatever notification that happens to be coming in.  I'm sure there are some conveniences that come with that, but I like to be able to put my phone down somewhere and walk away from it for a bit to get away from the barrage of information and notifications.
I don't need that extra stress in my life, so I don't think I will ever get a smart watch myself.

Farhan was very good in the Bomber/Lions game… the only time he was unnecessarily BC biased was at the very end when he said “he’s gonna score” about ten yards early on the Rhymes final play 

Yup...he'd been a great fulltime addition on TSN as he actually adds value and insight...Next yr if they went with Scianatti as host...with heavy use of Lapo...Naylor and yes Sanchez ..he can be a slug at times but he does offer actual value as the panel that would be a step in right direction

Growing up in rural MB, I was able to take my dad's old beater out after I got my license. It was winter and I went down snowy backroads, learning how a vehicle reacts on snow and ice. I'd rip around the driveway after a snowstorm before shoveling it. Get stuck, figure my way out and get stuck again. It was so much fun and I quickly learned how to drive in poor conditions and how to get out if I got stuck.

If by good you are including training that involves being responsible, safe, alert and courteous, I'm with you on this.

Having had kids go through driver training just a few years ago, I found that the education and testing was more rules based than skills based, and almost seems geared to “we will fail you a few times to collect fees” rather than “we will teach you how to drive well”.
My daughter did 4 tests, got three automatic fails for technical violations, including two situations where she got different instructions for the same maneuver, and was told she was wrong both times for doing what they told her. Last test she was on Chief Peguis and told to take the exit lane. She paused and the instructor (who had failed her once before) said “if you don’t get over as soon as the lane opens up, I will automatically fail you”. She said “I have to wait” and the instructor was going to fail her when a car roared by them on the shoulder, passing illegally on the right. My daughter had checked her mirrors and seen it coming. so she waited to avoid getting rear-ended. She passed (barely, said the instructor to me). Mentioned the incident and I snapped back “if the driver’s actions prevent the instructor from causing an accident with an improper instruction and no shoulder check from the passenger’s seat, maybe that should qualify as an automatic pass. Now, if it was an MPI training vehicle rather than her personal car, I would gladly have told her to follow your dangerous instructions and wreck your car”. No more critiques from the instructor after that. 
When my son tested later, he had a similar experience of automatic fails for minor flaws, so we hired a private instructor to train him for his final test and they drove him around the area where the test was going to happen, near Bison Drive. Took him to a weird school zone stop sign where there was a crosswalk beyond the stop sign and you had to stop twice before proceeding through the intersection. The instructor said “The instructors love to take students here and then fail them because no one really knows what to do in this zone, it’s badly designed”.  He passed the test and when he did the right maneuver at that tricky spot the instructor later said “I was waiting to see if you were going to fail in that place”.
I would much prefer a training system that teaches you to be a good driver rather than an obedient driver - the former is more valuable in promoting safety. 

I really do think Lapo has found his calling and will get better and better with experience in the broadcast profession. I really enjoy how he breaks down things for the viewer. It's engaging.  

Absolutely, 100% agree. However, the flip side to this and it also drives me insane (no pun intended) is the ones who believe the fast lane is go as fast as I want and get out of my way cuz its the fast lane.
So I'm doing 125 /130K to pass someone and someone rides my butt coming in at a much faster speed to get the hell out of the way cuz, you know, fast lane.  

Yeah a lot of folks when they do want to hit the gas, don’t do it at the right time and it turns into a race you to the red light situation, which is no good either. 

What gets me the most is people who won’t use the middle lane to drive the speed limit. Going 10 under with no one in front of them, or unnecessarily braking when simply taking their foot off the gas will do.

got a chance to watch the game footage....frame by frame....some posters were thinking that BC should have got the first down on that Vaj scramble before the 3rd and 1 denial...BC actual got a favorable spot as the Vaj stepped out about 3/4 yard further back than the spot they gave him before he extended his arm out at the marker....so the on field guys actually got it correct...basically amazingly enough

I hate driving in this city so much, specifically Regent avenue. 
It’s 60 kilometres per hour. Not a day goes by where I don’t have to sit behind a 3 lane wide row of cars driving like it’s the middle of bloody winter. Putting along at 40, forcing everyone to sit at the light at Lag, and the next one at Stapon.
Why are people in this town so afraid of the god damned accelerator? 

Yes, but their recommendation is almost always to go to Urgent Care or Emergency.

I get mad when refs mess up on the field in the heat of the action but I understand it. I get furious when the command centre that has time and slow motion replays don’t correct the errors when challenged. Kramdi did not interfere in the end zone. That was a BS call that should have been over turned but based on the refs positioning I can see making the call in the first place. 

It’s why you will never hear me blame officials for the outcome of a game.  Bad calls.  Missed calls.  They go both ways.  
 
The stuff that gets me hot relates to players taking late or unnecessary hits.  While I love football and soul crushing hits, players deserve to protected - all players, not just the QBs.

I thought the leos were gifted their first td with that bullshit pi call on Kramdi...I've looked at a few times and I just cant see interference  ...Also the deliberate hit on Grant out of bounds and not called was another pile of crap.....When you're playing in a tight meaningful game like that one was we need better reffing ......

I'd nominate Brady for MOC & MOP. Zach's play has tailed off the last half dozen games save for the Banjo Bowl when he was pissed. He needs to bottle that feeling & take a swig from it when he gets complacent or loses his confidence. Brady woukld be a deserving choice. he could conceivably end up wit 1,500-1,600 yards rushing which is unbelievable. 

New policy - you get the 10 yards for a first down, and immediately slide and give yourself up.  That way everyone gets a chance to make a catch as you go down the field and no one hogs the yardage.  A socialist football utopia as it were.
