Please do not say "he bled blue and gold". Milt Stegall, Doug Brown, Rod Hill, Tyrone Jones, etc are guys who "bled blue and gold".
Yes he played very hard for us every down. He was also quite aware his play would influence his NFL aspirations.
Muamba is a great player but other stars stayed committed to the Bombers through some really lean years. Yes I get there was money to be had, but Henoc's quick jump to Montreal is not consistent with bleeding blue and gold.

Really like both sneak peaks so far. If these colors are true, I am thrilled. Blue looks great and white and gold looks very retro which I love.
Oh, and Frosty...get a "real logo and not some letter". Lol, those are fighting words with me. Altough the Bombers have been very bad of late, there is a lot of history behind this team. Very good history. The "W" is very clean and holds that history unlike the lightening bolt/football "W" that was sure to date.
There is a reason why the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians etc don't mess with their simple, clean, logos.

What is my "favorite Regina joke"?
Is it that their fans feel a need to trek to Phoenix and wear their Rider jerseys at a hockey game? Or wear their Rider jerseys at curling? Or on their winter tropical holiday? Or that they host a hockey tournament and force the players representing Canada to wear green jerseys?
The biggest joke is what all of this represents. When your town is so small and irrelevant and you feel a need to try to pump it at every turn, that is the joke.
Rider fans are, in a word, insufferable. The world revolves around them. Sometimes it is better to keep quiet and ignore the pest, rather than inject the cockroach with the shot of adrenalin they so desperately crave.

I am completely convinced everyone has their own set of rules on this. While someone may think  a #14 Thornton on a modern jersey makes no sense, someone else may think currently wearing a Cory Watson Blue Bomber jersey makes no sense. Yes, he once wore that jersey, but he doesn't now so to some it is no longer relevant.
Saskbluefan is sort of all over the map. He says "personalized jerseys I can sort of abide by" and then says Thornton on a modern jersey "makes no sense". Going by his name, I will blame this on living in that horrible province. Noeller I will just blame on being a "hairy guy who sweats a lot".
Anyways, I've made my point, but really my only point is that people should not be mocked because these rules are made up and it sounds too superior.

I am very surprised so many here look down upon putting your own name on a jersey. I see just as many nicknames on jerseys as player names at Bomber games, and I have never had a problem with either. I have 3 jerseys with player names and 1 with a nickname. I will be buying three new jerseys in May and will most likely be going with a nickname on mine , something fun. I will not tell my girlfriend and son what to put on theirs.
When I chose my first jersey,  #84 Gordon (Robert for those too young), I did so because I liked everything about him as a player. Although I am a huge Bomber fan, there is no current player who blows me away enough to make that choice (although Dressler appeals to me to stick it to Rider fans).
I do not at all agree with those who call a personalized jersey a fail. I am not trying to pass off that I am a Bomber because I have my nickname on the back,  just as I would never call the over weight man or the old lady in the "player name" jersey a fail.
I get that some of you are thinking that a player name honors the team/player, and that others don't have the right to wear their name on it, but the reality is these are not "game worn" jerseys, it is a fans jersey who is "honoring" the team by wearing their colors.

I have been to only 2 Grey Cup festivals, 2011 in BC and this one. I will say this festival is far superior to 2011 and that is with my team playing in 2011. I have volunteered at this one and seen large crowds of happy people at the street festival (indoor and outdoor) and the Convention Centre. The "fan experience" at U of W was pretty great. I have really taken it in....concerts, interactive things, etc.
Lol, now I am pretty negative about Winnipeg, it being behind the times/unprogressive/blah blah blah, but anyone who calls this Grey Cup "embarrassing for the league " clearly doesn't get it but more acurately is probably just searching for yet another reason to crap on the Blue Bombers.
    Fantastic festival. Great job Winnipeg!
