I was at most of last yrs camp....so I can tell you it was a joke....I also snapped the ball to the other punter on the secondary field on several occasions and know exactly how much better he was
take it for what it's worth but from what I hear...and talked too it was a partially separated shoulder...and as a running back of BO's style thats a lil issue you wanna let heal right up and be 100 percent certain before he goes back on feild....not sure who Farhan's source is and if he knows the issue other than shoulder....but he wasnt making it up guessing
Also...for what it's worth if it was a play-off game they woulda gave him a lil something something and played him until it became a problem
we the only club that doent really...And that's Osh being osh...figures it gives us an advantage?...or just does it to irritate people....something he likes to do actually
we have depth fore sure...But Hallett should have been another "moved on from" guy too....he is what he is now....and we can find better
show instances where he didn't do that.....and then show instances where he has/had?....then re-visit the tiresome part...cause it is yeah tiresome seeing the HC keep making the same dumb mistake
I barely went last year. Was just a waste of time. This year was a great camp. In general they are a far cry from what they used to be, but this camp was about as good as it gets these days.
I love Halletts effort, at this point he’s a last Canadian on the roster type. Only a teams guy, a good one still but no upside left and no role to fill on D.
It makes sense to have him on while makonzo and Kelly recover. Especially since we are carrying Shay/smith, and 2 imp db back ups.
If haggerty was healthy I’d put him on over Hallett though. Idk if he’s legit injured or not though. Ball even has upside I might give him a look over Hallett eventually.
38 minutes ago, BBlink said:Oh yeah. Special teamer for sure. Can play safety in a pinch which is all we'd ask from him. Unfortunately we got bit pretty bad with the injuries to Haggerty and Kelly.
Not much of a S these days. Barely still a teams guy.

I think we go Peterson with either Cooley or Logan if he is ready. The holes our OL was opening we are going to have success no matter who has the rock. It was very impressive seeing Vanterpool 15 yards down field laying secondary blocks.
Yeah. I don’t think Logan’s gonna be in any time soon. Even when he’s healthy he will need to get in game shape atleast.

I bet they have some heated discussions. I don’t know Osh but I’ve been around Miller a decent amount. If he has something to say he’ll say it with no concern for your feelings.
Wade is 10x more passionate/competitive about football and the bombers than he is about business. And he is driven in business.

There is absolutely 0 chance Wade Miller called anyone on the carpet. That's ******* hilarious. What would have been said was "what do you need to turn it around? How much money... What can I do to help?"
That's all that would have ever been said. The Trinity are in lockstep, for starters (I'm fairly certain) and if ANYONE calls MOS on the carpet (a laughable notion!) it's gonna be Walters.
I think a lot of you are overthinking things (I know I know... It's what we do) especially in regards to the roster next week. I don't think you're going to see much in terms of changes. After a performance like last night, we'll see the bare minimum.
They way Wade miller is, no chance a meeting didn’t happen about the piss poor start last year. What would’ve been involved one can only guess. He isn’t a make threats kinda guy, he would for sure talk about under achieving. And we see a stark change in camp this year. Hasn’t been one like this since maybe first or second mos year.
42 minutes ago, Booch said:BTW...Wade Miller is the boss here...and everyone from the ball boy to walters follows whatever he says
Its hilarious to think otherwise.. obviously some people have no idea of how internal structure works
That type of thing is normal with in sports at upper management levels too. And in business.

Maybe Wade Miller called him on the carpet when they were 2-6 saying their pre season prep just wasn't good enough? Who knows??
That's the trash talk I was referring to. To me, that sounded like Streveler.
Very real possibility. I could see some rebalancing of power in the mafia having happened since last years start. And if that’s given us what we have now, great keep it goin.

I love Ted too, and hope he whips cancer and has lots of success in Hamilton. I think the front office change was needed too.
Suddenly we have a ton of young blood in front of this franchise, and fresh impartial eyes.

I wouldn’t remove Vanterpool for any reason but Cooley and Cobb for Sterns and BO sounds ok.
Yeah we need stability on the ol at all costs right now. Last place I’m making changes unless forced.

Just like myself, you, wbbfan & more than a few other discussed last season on more than a few ocassions. Glad Osh can be introspective & admit he made a mistake.
He danced around a lil on what actually changed, but im just glad he did what it took finally.
We just have to keep it going in the weekly prep too. -

What I'm hearing from some is MBB discussions on roster management, players abilities, game reviews and coaches/management decisions should be muted until our W/L record says to unmute.
They always have an excuse just like the first two months of last year.
Honestly most people are in the same boat these days. It’s a couple that are still in the this is fine room with roster management.
Luckily, the coaching changes and last batch of vet discards has brought a lot of improvement. We are younger and more athletic than we’ve been in years. The depth is pretty impressive too.
I’m sure the roster will improve with a couple more games, and hopefully see another old head go this year still.

Move Parker to corner if going Cdn at safety. Bridges had the easy picks but doesn't need to be a lock.
I’d be open to trying vaval at bridges spot too. Get back a di too.
30 minutes ago, M.O.A.B. said:If Jaylon Smith can play Safety, maybe that's the best adjustment we can do.
Sit Parker and roster Cooley (If Logan is not yet ready)
Start Paterson. Cooley backup.
Add another Canadian somewhere or Global (Bailey)
I’m sure Parker will get more time to get back up to pace. But I haven’t been impressed.
To really go Canadian at S, we’d need a back up Canadian too. We don’t have one able to play in the secondary with both makonzo and Kelly hurt.
That said, we could flip wil taking kyrie off much easier.
Sadly, if we need to flip ratio, I bet we start two Canadian dts and di adams. Which would be criminal.

Leggs seems to be kicking well in the windiest stadium in the league.
Sergio is actually pretty smart, he never quite attains perfection, missing the occasional FG or convert every few games strangely lowers peoples expectations and increases their acceptance when he does miss, which was not the case for Leggs. As long as he produces when the chips are down and doesn't cost them a game, he should remain a fan favourite.
I don’t mean the actual stadium. I mean the pressure he was under here and the whole no one could kick any damn ball back then for us.
Kickers are really strange animals. Once they get the yips it’s hard to break. Medlock was lowkey famous in the nfl for being a kicker like that. Up here one of the best to ever do it. -

I was worried Brady hurt his shoulder…... I said it to my buddy when we saw him heading for the tent. He was wincing pretty good. Hope it’s not too major, obviously.
Yeah maybe collar bone, rotator cuff, or some thing even more outlier.

So next week do we roll with Peterson as our tailback and MCI backing him up? Or do we sit another American down and unleash Cooley?
If Brady can’t go, Cooley comes on. Peterson has to show he can repeat what he did, and mci is far away from being able to carry reliably.
Hope Brady is good to go, but his injury was strange. I am concerned he will miss a bit.

LOL Bombers had two of them in Leggs and Lirim and they chased them out of town, couldn't bring either back now for love nor money. Bomber fans need to find more patience for their kickers!
You’re right. I hated running legs out. Maybe he needed the change of scenery though.

Looked like they were having a helluva lot of fun out there, contrast that with Lions who didn't even celebrate their TD's.
100%. The guys were fired up more than I saw all last year. That wants-it-more goes a long way to winning.
1 minute ago, BubGrant said:As well as some replaceable players. WHO is Gerbutt, Aigustin, Doberson and Wolikowski?
Every one is replaceable. But we lost some replacement level guys for sure. Garbutt and fox were actually quite good in Hamilton. In a unit that is basically all our exes.

Does Sheehan kick fgs cuz having an American kicker actually appears to perhaps be an issue. Without Sergio you could dress person or whoever.
I’d rather play him at dl than have him replace Castillo.
Long term, I think every team should be looking for a global or Canadian guy who can do all 3 jobs. That gives you incredible roster flexibility. Those guy are exceedingly rare, and they basically never stay up here now.
Some one, sorry to the person idr who, had a brilliant idea in the off season/camp. Just like we have the Canadian qb program in cfl camps, we should have the same program for kickers.

When they got Peterson, I thought ok a Canadian back up to Brady. Good move. After last night, its more a Canadian weapon that can team with Brady.
On the oline, they were great. We rushed for over 200 yards and had 450+ of offense.
He’s very legit. What I really liked from his running last night was that out side of his big run, he still gained great yardage consistently. He wasn’t busting 10+ or getting stuffed. He fought for yards was able to push forward a bit on some tough plays too.
Good blocker, great effort guy. Much better speed than you’d expect.
The fact we started out the year soo well with strong execution on both sides of the ball from the first bell, despite missing our qb1 and mop rb, after the mess of a month and a half to start last year is a real testament to the value they got out of camp this year. We even lost a bunch of coaches and front office guys. But despite all that this was the hungriest and most prepared team breaking camp we’ve seen since 21.

There's so many players that had a great night last night... it's hard to single out just three... there are three guys I want to mention, maybe not necessarily as the "top 3" stars, but just guys I think deserve a shoutout...
1- Kennall Randolph (I'd like to start the petition to call him Kenny Randy) - Thank you for your service Mr Lofton, but you are no longer required... we still love the years Yoshi gave us but he's dead to us in green... Randolph is the future and current starting tackle of this team... whether he remains on the right or takes over for Big Stan on the left
2 - Mike Ayers - He just makes plays... I'll admit Kyrie Wilson played well last night... but I hate that it's at the expense of Ayers... he should be an every down defensive player
3 - Keric Wheatfall - I don't like to anoint anyone too early... but it's looking like we really have something in this guy... could be a stud for years to come....
A million other players also played great last night... Strev, Peterson, The entire Oline, Demski, Jones, Kramdi, Vaval, Holm
I really liked Randos game. I want to see him get better in the run game though.
Vanterpool was really good at guard. Which you do expect from an imp playing guard. But he was likely our best ol last night. The old guys all got whupped a couple times

1. Streveler - Bad start, tossing 3 shoulda been picks, but got away with it and went on to look like a real QB.
2. Peterson - Welcome to the CFL, now replace the MOP and get 100+ yards.
3.Demski - Caught the first TD on his fingertips giving Streveler the confidence he needed.
HH Vaval - Flipped the field over and over.
To be fair, one near pick was tipped which isn’t on him and another was a crazy diving attempt at the turf.
He does need to protect the ball placement a bit better, but he did get better at that as the game went on. -

I’ll give a shout out to our whipping boys, I thought JT and Sheehan had decent games. JT had reasonably consistent push and Sheehan had a 46 yard avg.
Streveler had a better game than I thought he would. A couple of short lob throws to the sideline that could get a receiver killed, and a bit of luck he didn’t have another pick or two, but overall was pretty good.
Vaval was very good in the return game, but also lucky. You don’t get that lucky often where you recover your own fumble twice. Can’t play a returner you don’t trust, so he needs to clean that up.
HH to Vanterpool. Based on tonight is an upgrade on Dobson.
That 31 yard net punt from the lions 51 was ugly though. He was punting poorly from mid field but decent from our side.
1 hour ago, blue85gold said:I thought Parker made some nice plays early on. Other than the one big play curious what your issues with him were.
He struggled picking up the right guys, and when he had position failed to contest the catch effectively at all.
Pretty disappointing, but he didn’t play that much in pre season and hasn’t played in a while. Maybe he needs to get the rust off, either way he’s gotta be better and quick.

I’d normally agree. However, his complete screwing up of his time here, and mediocre production over all for elite money, I do blame him for not making good here.
We sat through that dui and his in too much of a child to take care of my passport crap. While paying him stupid money. His inability to stay healthy was a big part of leaving our wr core gutted.
In the end, if you have no loyalty or accountability you deserve none. If it had just been injuries I wouldn’t blame him. But he screwed up more than once in a big way and it cost us. Chasing bank after that makes him a grease ball.
