  1. Past hour
  2. They should go for a prime Calvillo if they're time travelling to bring back an ex QB of theirs.
  3. A dream is a wish your heart makes.
  4. Are there any this year that would crack the top 20? There were only 6 Canadian QB's playing D1 ball last year & we had guys like Kurtis Rourke who (probably thanks to his brother) we had been hearing about for a couple years before he was draft eligible. 2 of those 6 QB's (Callum Wither & Drew Viotto) are coming back up north to play this season but they haven't seen much playing time so no idea what they could turn out to be yet. Otherwise I don't recall hearing about anybody else coming up yet who might be able to make it at the pro level. This is also only the first edition of the rankings so we'll see what the winter & spring rankings show as they do change - maybe there's a couple QB's right now who are just off the rankings but improve their standing over the course of the season. The article even states that only 4 of 8 first round picks in the 2025 draft were on the 2024 fall rankings so somewhere along the line, those other 4 shot up (and/or other guys dropped off) the list.
  5. Develop who? I am not denying that Kornelson was a dud. Sure was.
  6. No. It is not a disconnect, Shay/Smith are both capable of playing the WIL LBer spot in the future. Smith could even potentially be a S. What JBR is getting at is that there just aren't a ton of reps available that would be particularly suitable for rookies because our only consistent true LBer on the field is at MIKE and you don't throw rookies into the fray there until they are good and ready. WIL already is a very diminished role in our D, and you use your starter when it is only 40-50% of all defensive reps. I know that everyone here is looking for reasons to dump on MOS, but we need to do better than grasp at straws. We are a 5-4 team, there's a lot to dislike right now and we are grousing over rookie play time, and the 51-53 spots of the roster. Why? Because it makes minor decisions seem a lot more major than what they are. If we want to talk coaching we have problems for sure, a lot of it is our coordinators.
  7. Sure, therefore every NAT to IMP swap should be an upgrade then? C'mon...that's cherry picking. It doesn't have to be a downgrade, but it more than likely is. Let's be real. Because 12 plays can win any team a game. That's a fair assessment. Because we feel a certain way about the coaches most certainly does not mean the players feel the same as well. We are fans, we literally are talking out our asses. Unless, of course, Gauthier and Cadwallader are better options at this point.

  9. I see we're back to the No Quarterbacks worth drafting. How 2018 of the CFL Scouting Bureau for that.
  10. Is it bad luck or a guy who tried to make a play way outside of his athletic ability? Brown looks slow as molasses trying to evade the rush whenever he's flushed out of the pocket. Now, he's a walking injury. He doesn't do Bob Dyce any favours for his remaining enure as a head coach or help his team by constantly being injured. He seems to put himself into more trouble by trying to make a play with his legs rather than taking a sack. I'm thinking Brown just may not have the physical toughness to play at the pro level.
  11. Who says it's not legit? Maybe he wants to give it a shot when he does retire from hockey. He'll have the financial whrewithall to do it. He wouldn't be the first & certainly won't be the last.
  12. I guess maybe football is football but did Shay and smith not go to school in the USA? Their could be a learning curve but after 9 10 weeks giving them even 10 reps a game each for the last games certainly wouldn’t hurt. Shay at middle or WIL would be huge. Smith seems more griffin position to me. And I like griffin. I think replacing Kyrie with Shay would be a smart thing. Shay replacing Tony would be ok also. And Ayers takes Kyries spot. Griffin. Shay. Ayers. Could be a solid group. Liked that Woodbey kid also tho in pre season.

  14. You're not downgrading by playing Canadian, rookie LBs for a few reps. Hamilton's defense improved when Veresuk got the nod at MLB.
  15. It will replace a lot. Things like movie scores, commercials and places where the song isn’t front and center. For some pop music, this has almost already been happening with the formulaic writers. Just won’t need those humans. I think what this does do is put a premium on authentic musicians and live performances. I haven’t yet seen AI put emotion and lived experience into songs. And the more it generates and can flood the market, I think the more people will crave human created content.
  16. Loved Peyton Logan interview
  17. I see, so you're saying we only use 1.5-2 linebackers essentially in our defense and there aren't really a lot of reps for Shay and Smith because Jones and Wilson basically take them all? Doesn't that get back to our ongoing debates about a disconnect between the front office and the coaching staff?
  18. Was non-contact on a scramble.
  19. Depending on opponent and what they do, we play about 40-60% of the time on D with one LB out there since we've went to more 40 fronts...and it's usually Jones...then Jones and Wilson when we have 2 out with the dime subbing out. I don't count SAM as a LB.

  21. This kind of blew me away: AI creates a fictional female singer, then is given a premise and writes a song with the fictional female singer it just invented singing it with music and lyrics. All done in minutes. Will this replace human musicians?
  22. Bonfire pregame with Darrin Bauming and Walby. As always, available on all your podcast apps.
  23. Moreover, practice is structured but games are dynamic, instantaneous and unpredictable. As a boxer said, "Everyone has a plan until the first punch lands".
