  1. Past hour
  2. used to happen a lot. guys playing repeatedly through torn and re torn tendons and similar injuries isn’t the norm in football any more. not for maybe 10 years down south, not up here since jones riders tore all the ligaments and tendons in tc.
  3. I don't care that we are mid. Don't lose the BB.
  4. And medical incompetence happens anywhere, to anyone. I am not saying there is no negligence here, I think it's a sucky situation anyway you look at it. I'm just saying medical mistakes can and do happen.
  5. It's not noise... it's the reality of the season.
  6. Today
  7. Thing is...he tore it again in cgy...Likely tore away where the graft was attached to the bone...have hard time thinking a hamstring graft would have tore so early into existence with non-contact....but possibly...they said and I heard torn nonetheless so either from bone or in half 6 games ir didn't fix anything...maybe swelling..that's it LD game...he made it worse to point even with a brace now he's shot...plain and simple...lotsa fingers to point in lotsa directions...fact of matter...should never been back on field after cgy injury...should have been in surgery...he won't be back next yr...if they smart...jury is out on the smart Its no different than if we braced up Bonds....we didnt because we had other DB candidates...we didnt at WR...so....well we all know what happened
  8. What more information do you need? He tore his ACL Last year. He came back, really ahead of schedule from most recommendations for ACL tears, less than 12 months. He plays a couple of games, has a non-contact injury on the same knee and is put on the 6 game. He appears again, wearing a brace, makes it through a couple weeks of practice, and the vast majority of a game and now is out for the season, and likely until labour day next year best case. O'Shea has come out and was like, yeah he tore it again in Calgary. The ACL provides stability in the knee joint but they try to augment what he has left with a huge ass brace. The medical staff tells him he probably can't do any additional damage. Schoen says he accepts the risks. O'Shea feels that a gimpy Schoen is the best option in the WR Corps. Schoen is a professional athlete, those cats are wired differently. Someone needs to be the adult in the room and protect him from himself. Whether it's the medical staff saying that this is dumb AF and refusing to clear him, O'Shea saying I know you feel you are ready to go but you need to take care of yourself, or Walters overruling them all and pulling the plug. Everyone likes to tout FIFO as some kind of positive mantra... but this is the negative side of it. Players putting their own health at risk and ultimately hurting the team long and short term. There have been WAY too many instances of players playing through significant injury and snookering the team.
  9. I think our OL is pretty much the worst OL in the league at probably both pass protection and run blocking right now. With Kolo it’s essentially 4 guys and with Stanley looking cooked at times it’s like 3 and with Wallace learning on the job it’s really like just Randolph. So i think that’s an issue. Probably affects the O more than we think but last week the O was more good than bad. So who knows. Honestly Zach put up some good numbers. I honestly think the D requires more changes than the O or the scheme needs to fit the **** we dress. On O I’d looking at Stanley’s replacement kolo replacement and Neufeld replacement ASAP. Guys off the PR or streets honestly couldn’t be worse than Kolo Pokey Demski Sterns (when healthy) Clercius Wheatfall. (Mitchell). It’s not bad. Solid but unspectacular group. Maybe look at upgrading Wheatfall but maybe Wheatfall is that upgrade with more reps?? Who knows. Brady. Peterson. MCI. They stay. on D. jake Korn Willie (he’s old now Also) Vaughters (same thing). Person Lawson Adams woods are solid. Adams and woods could probably use some legit competition tho. Surely you can find a defensive end Kyle. Other than Person. LBs have actually been ok. But Kyrie isn’t young. But Woodbey and Ayers look like good players. Gauthier is old. Time for Shay to get reps. I like griffin so why not see if smith can go at safety. get Houston on. He’s a cfl starting CB. Vaval is a good returner and ok CB but he’s young AF so give the dude a break. Lawson Jr is ok but surely you can do better. Nichols appears to be good one week and cooked the next. Holm is consistent. DB should be easy to find also. Allen looks ok but looks like everyone else at times also. Isn’t there a global who kicks fgs and punts?
  10. And with our defensive interior...I expect a lot of it on us lol... That being said...we have best RB...and claim that's our identity...so to abandon it like last game is a joke..who cares if team you playing is supposed good vs run...exert your dominance and beat em...man on man...show confidence...don't roll over and expose your under belly like last game...that was just lame and weak...excuses are for losers...let's not be losers
  11. It’s kinda chilly. Seems like a good day to run a football. Go Blue. I think honestly this is our season here. We either fighting to host a playoff game or we fighting bc for 3rd or a crossover. And I’d say 3rd or crossover In host year with likely potentially extra seating and not hosting a playoff game = fail.
  12. I think we do have the talent but we gotta play mistake free to beat the Calgary and Sasks. Or we need to score touchdowns when we get the ball at our opponents 5 yard line cuz a TD wins last week instead of a fg. Riders would likely come down and kick a fg to win but still. Game was there. Same with 1 Calgary game. Came down to us letting Calgary kick an easy fg for the W.
  13. For the reasons I mentioned. People can be a dumbass and not be actually duh dumb. He just makes dumb decisions and has throughout his career.
  14. It really says something that nobody has bothered with the GDT today. Just win baby, **** all the other noise.
  15. What makes you think he is dumb??
  16. He may not be a great head coach but he isn't a complete moron like Mike Kelly. I wouldn't crap all over the guy and dismiss what he has done. Sometimes people have growing pains and make rookie mistakes and grow and learn as a coach. Other times they peak early and make decisions to start Jake Thomas and hire an OC with zero experience.....
  17. Yeah good thing this is a one time isolated incident...and we have never put guys on roster before who were clearly hurt and couldn't perform...or after a significant injury kept playing a player...or players....and thankfully we never did this to schoen before either...darn good thing Oh..wait a minute......we have....repeatedly Apparently the adults in our room lack a lot of...adult like traits
  18. You can partially tear a ligament, it doesn't have to be a full blown tear. He came back with a brace hoping to mitigate any further damage but clearly that didn't happen. He didn't re-injure himself on the 2 point convert either - it happened earlier in the game and he just gutted it out. The 2 point convert was just a visible display of how hurt he was.
  19. I tend to agree with most of the comments posted here. IMHO and only my opinion this is the weakest talent the Bombers have put on the field in a number of years. Our OL and DL are sub standard - old and some well past their best before dates. I believe our offensive coordinator is subpar and at times I really question management decisions. We have a number of players that should have been let go some time ago and yet still manage to get a starting slot. Not going to name names but it is very obvious. We just do not have the talent to come out on top against the Riders or Stamps at least IMHO.
  20. Davey Johnson, manager of '86 world champion Mets, Nationals, dies at 82
  21. This times a million. The player can make a choice but it’s not their *responsibility*, who was the adult in our room who takes on the *responsibility* of telling Schoen he has to shut it down?
  22. Player wants to play. No shock there but for his own good someone needed to be the adult in the room and tell him no, focus on next year and don't take unnecessary risks.
  23. Listen I get that you have your schtick and want to stick with it at all costs but what you are saying is consistently misleading. Players coming off a major injury and then having another major injury - either the same or different one - is unfortunately a somewhat frequent occurrence across all sports. You cannot possibly know what happened in this scenario. Perhaps you are right and he is the result of a terrible doctor decision. Or perhaps the medical team made the best decision possible and what happened was a result of bad luck. Perhaps Walters or Osh or Schoen or pick-your-villain went rogue and overruled them all. No one here has all the info needed.
  24. The way the story reads in the FP is that Schoen made a choice to rehab after the Calgary injury. Personally I would have shut him down after an ACL tear was confirmed, but that might just be 20/20 hindsight on my part.
