...as per MOS presser just now......Picard injured, so MG gets the start for this week.

If he can get out of his stance and not get blown 5 yards off the line on the majority of run plays he's already better than Neufeld.

And it only took several months for the coaches to realize what most here knew long ago. The "injury" seems very convenient.

Pretty sure Picard is injured, no conspiracy there.

MOS & Wylie like Picard over Goosen as the starter so I agree there is no conspiracy.

So you don't think Picard is really injured?

Injured or not, I really hope Dominic has played his last game as a Blue Bomber.  Time to go get a job selling shwarmas.

Rider fans are complaining how badly Brendan Labatte is playing. Seems like about  the same level as Picard. Looks like the former Bobsey Twins are on their last legs as starters.

This might improve some of the tempo, on O, anyways......

Goosen should be ready to play he has been here long enough and hopefully paid attention at practice. As for Picard probably wont be back next year and i'm okay with that.

Let's keep in mind that 2 years really isn't that long to be developed into a starting centre. Many others have taken longer.

Goossen looked no worse than Picard every time he has gone in all season. Shoulda happened in July.

Goossen can move, did u see how he picked up the half back biltz in the 2nd half against bc

he will do well, good for him

Picard is less useful than a pylon. Hard to think this makes us worse.

Positonal wise Im sure he is there.. Calling out blocking packages and having the trust of his linemates tho..

Centre is a crutial role for many reasons, not just as a blocker.. With how poor picards snaps have been, there has to have been another reason why goose hasnt had a chance yet to shine.

If anyone trusted Picard, they shouldn't have.

He has been one of the worst Bombers this year. Maybe the worst.

I don't like dancing on players' graves, but this news makes me happy. I don't want to see Picard play for us ever again.

The only way I want to see Picard as a Bomber again is to see him as a special teams coach working with Lirim on his hang time ... Picard's snaps had beauty hang time this season.

I was very impressed with that play, and I've been saying for a while now that the rainbow snaps weren't working and Goosen doesn't do that. Glad they made the change, and I agree with the other posters that I'd be happy not to see Picard again.

Goosen played the entire game at C in the blow out loss to the Stamps earlier this year in one of the worst performances by the O-line to date.  Hopefully he learned from that experience and gets better going forward.

Who was the quarterback?

Picard was in for all the debacles vs Hamilton and Edmonton.  He's not adding anything, even mentally.

The stats sheet indicates that it was a "Mr. Deadman Walking" for that particular game.  Yer welcome.

I'm sure Nichols likes it.

I thought the O line has been getting a little better last few games. Nichols had some time second half of last game…. also some of the run plays worked ok….

Althoug I though I noticed one guy right in the middle of the o line, standing straight up, and looking downfield, while defenders to his rears, were converging on the qb

Neufeld has been as bad or worse than Picard in my opinion.
