According to O'Shea Adams pointed to the official and the official pointed back confirming he was on the line.  It was not confirmed that it was the same official that threw the flag.

Yup, O'Shea just said Adams and the official pointed at each other to signal that he was lined up correctly. Don't know who threw the flag. Really does sound pretty fishy by the refs. Osh was adamant that Adams was lined up correctly both when he saw it in game and when he watched a replay, AND pointed out the flag was really late.

Replays on Twitter have the official clearly signalling okay to Adams, however he does look to line up a bit behind. Still the ref said it was fine.

Its a real close call. The only thing that changed from the time when they pointed at each other and the snap was Adams' left foot moving back, not remaining ahead.

Not really...the video is quite black and white

Just watched the TSN footage again. You can clearly see Adams point at the ref as he is walking down the line of scrimmage towards the sideline. The ref pointed back confirming he was on the line. After this though Adams did appear to change his lead foot and in doing so did end up taking a half step back from the line. As soon as the QB sneak was whistled dead the sideline ref ran right to the pile where he was called over by the head referee. After a brief conversation the sideline ref begins to throw his flag just as the TSN camera angle changes.

 

So it was indeed the sideline ref on Adams' side that threw the flag but it seems like it was the head ref that told him to do it and that was why it was so late.

Heard Irving on the radio saying he got a text from the league saying Bastien was at fault.  Strange because the referee that pulled out his hankey was on the other side of the field.  Seems strange but we should have a better idea in the coming hours or day.

Was a weak call but regardless like Mos Nichols and turner all said... it wasn't the reason they lost.

The O did nothing all 3rd and half of the 4th quarter. The O sucked yet again.

Oh and the regular 6 people blaming the coach on this one... seriously? It's adams fault or the refs. Bunch of chincy calls this game tho

Let me spell it out for all the MOS lovers it's called accountability there is none, that's why these brain farts happen how many ways can you lose a game before you realize hey maybe there just not prepared?Think Huffer would put up with that kind of mistake?Not a chance in hell.Oh well at least it was close.

I have a picture of the play and it sure looks like the tackles are just as far back as Adams. They are definitely behind Nichols.
