No, I would think you would know all positions before you put your best offer up. We have to be the best offer in the end, not the beginning for other teams to match or better. If their camp walks away from the best offer in the end, well...

At some point you truly can't just get into a bidding war...set a number and live with it. Hamilton overpaid for Fantuz and they have an overpaid cheerleader on the sidelines who has missed as many games as he has played.

I understand how bidding works. I also feel that when you've been as bad as us, you don't **** around, you make a large offer. Go in and offer 3 years at $230,000 or so.

Picard's signing was a mistake in terms of money and we shouldn't make that mistake again. 200-220 for Muamba is as high as I would go.

Muamba makes us better. We lack elite Canadian starters outside of Westerman and Kohlert (when properly used). I'd go 250 000 per year easily. Qbs and Canadians. That's who I would give big money too.

The other issue is, Muamba's family lives in Toronto I believe.  I remember Bluto saying that he sat beside them at a Hamilton game when Winnipeg was playing there.

 

But yeah, I hope Walters puts up the money.  We need some good Canadian players.

My point is Walters didn't know the best offer when he made his. It's called a bidding war. Walters will increase his bid if Henoc is interested in coming back to Winnipeg.
