When Desjardins is fired, no doubt one of the reasons will be his inability to manage the team finances under the cap.

I can understand DesJardins needing to field a competitive team in short order after the previous incarnations in Ottawa, but it looks like there is no limit on his budget.

They have one high-priced NI.  There's no way that they don't have the space for Lemon.  They will have some tough decisions in the next couple off-seasons though.

Letting Chevy and his $100k+ go before Labour Day probably helped the Redblacks in signing Lemon.

Verbal agreement... I remember we had a verbal agreement with Gregg Carr first night of the free-agency in the past, only to find out the next morning that he decided to sign with Edmonton who gave him 10k more than he agreed upon with Winnipeg.

 

Not saying he will not sign with Ottawa eventually, but maybe another (NFL) team gave him a call and shown interest and he will give it another get-go.

Well its not the end if he signs elsewhere, its only a must sign if he were playing on the o line.

You're right. My mistake but he is still playing for the same money as last season.

The Sun reported that $150,000 of Willy's $265,000 salary was paid as a bonus.

Willy didn't get any additional money this year with his new contract, just more of it upfront. 

 

Ian Wild got cut? I'm surprised that isn't a bigger deal here. It would be nice having him back.

Bigger news is everywhere I look I do not see Henoc on the colts projected 53. Sounds like he may be cut aswell.
