gbill2004
I'm getting tired of these threads, but it'll be another interesting week on the Drew Willy injury watch. Is this the week he actually misses? Does Drew have 9 lives? On the post game show, coach O'Shea said he has no updates and Willy will be evaluated this week. That tells me it might not be serious, but I'm just guessing. TSN1290 suggesting it might just be a hyperextended knee. That could mean he could play this week, or could be out a few weeks. Upcoming bye week after playing the Argos this Friday, could be really good timing.
Brandon
Maybe we do se Joey Elliott this season!
TBURGESS
Willy slowly limping right to the dressing room. Not a good sign IMO. Dude's tough, but how many times can we trot him out after an injury and have him play well? I'm thinking Brohm's the starter against the Argo's and I don't get a good feeling about our chances of a win.
do or die
Watching Brohm putting up the nerf balls to the sidelines, had me reaching for the gin....
DR. CFL
Pretty funny when MOS says no updates. Evaluated on the field by the Therapist and the orthopaedic surgeon. I guess they have no idea either.

kelownabomberfan
have to admit that I had checked out by that point. Will have to watch the PVR to see what happened to him. And then burn my PVR.
TBURGESS
After Cameron's blog this week, I'd have thought they'd already know exactly what was wrong with Willy. After all, he can tell right away what's wrong with players even without an MRI.

Goalie
Looked worse last time so he should be OK hopefully. Could really use a bye week now tho.
Mark F
going the same route as Buck. getting the living daylights beat out of him, second year in a row.
Goalie
Nah. No buck comparison at all. Buck was chronically injured. Willy just takes a pounding at times. First time he's been injured this year on a good tackle. First 2 times were illegal hits.
Tracker
Buck was pretty beat-up before he got here and apparently brittle to boot. Willy. on the other hand, had all his parts in good order when he signed on, but that situation is being rapidly remedied. Mark F

After all, he can tell right away what's wrong with players even without an MRI. And apparently a hyperextended knee could result in a whole whack of different conditions. What appeared sick was Cottons arm. Left one looked broken.
iso_55
What's the story with Darvin Adams? I hope he gets back right away.
Goalie
Cotton is done. No doubt about it. The willy and Adams injuries... not sure. Probably day to day stuff.
Noeller
Far more worried about Cotton's wrist and the direction it was bent. Blech. Willy will be fine after the bye and Adams not too far behind...Cotton could be awhile.

SPuDS
Willys knee looked to hyperextend for sure.. usually just swelling and joint stiffness in that instance... cant tell more tho til swelling subsides and you can move the joint properly.. ditto on ligaments and tendon damage.. hence the no updates.. MRI will tell the tale but from my own shitty knee luck id predict maybe 2 weeks out tops..
gbill2004
How long does it take to heal from a hyperextended knee? For a mild knee hyperextension, you can expect your knee to heal in 2-4 weeks. For sever knee hyperextensions with additional injuries such as a meniscus tear and ligament tear (acl, pcl, mcl), it will be necessary to have surgery. The rehab process for a sever hyperextended knee with a torn ligament will take 6-9 months of rehabilitation.
DR. CFL
A hyperextended knee is more a description of the mechanism of the injury not the resultant damage. Unfortunately hyper extension is one of the classic mechanisms for tearing the ACL. MRI today stay tuned.
LeBird
have to admit that I had checked out by that point. Will have to watch the PVR to see what happened to him. And then burn my PVR. You will have to watch the PVR, eat it than blow yourself up. Should parts of you or your PVR ever get found the club will deny knowing anything about you. LeBird
It is truly disheartening to sit and watch a treasure getting destroyed because those who were supposed to protect him were not ready to do so. It is very hard to stay positive when the thought of losing him is becoming more and more real. These guys develop a game plan and etch it in stone so that no one will change it. When we tried to blitz, we got to pay for it big time. I realize Willy is not a scrambler but neither was AC.
Brandon
Maybe Willy needs to get the ball out quicker like when Glenn played for us. Perhaps Doug Berry would be a good oc for us next season?
JohnnyOnTheSpot
For the love of God will people stop mentioning Doug Berry every time we lose a game. He's out of the league for good reason. He's had his chances. How old is he now? 70? Ok, 67. I looked it up. Mark F
