For anyone wanting to post articles, reports, thoughts, questions, etc regarding the first day of rookie camp - here's the spot to do it. Only a one hour practice today.

 

Also - for what it's worth - rookie camp roster limit is 75 + non-counters (current year draft picks and a max of two other non-counters defined by eligibility) and we currently have 82 bodies. As far as I know, counting draft picks and the two non-counters, that maxes us out so you won't see any additions prior to camp other than Richards and Waggoner.

 

Wednesday, May 27—Rookie Camp

Practice: 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Cameras can record practice from 3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Still photography of practice can begin at 3:25 p.m.

Players and Head Coach Mike O’Shea will be available following practice on the field.

 

 

I think Randle has the skills to play SAM and be one of the best in the league at doing it, I just i guess, not sure what to expect from the Corners they have brought in, they seem to be high on adams, anyone have any info on him as to maybe why they are so high on him?

Every year they line up guys for a look in multiple positions.  Last year Newman took reps in the middle, weak and safety.  Now's the time of year to do it.

 

 

Wow Sam Hurl at MLB, I got slapped around pretty good for suggesting that's where he would line up.

He had a great career in the Big Ten then apparently was the best DB at mini camp.  That's about all I know.

 

 

Scratch what I said about the roster because apparently I'm hearing we added another receiver to the rookie camp roster.

 

Maybe because Richards has yet to show up?

I believe that there are 2 more players invited to rookie camp as development players through the deal with the CJFL (non-counters, not under contract).  Both are players with the Winnipeg Rifles, and will likely return to the Rifles after camp:

Brad Mikoluff  (Punter)

O'Shea said Randle played some SAM with the Stamps. Says it gives them some roster flexibility, increases TC competition, and they already know what Randle can do at corner.
