GDT: Edmonton @ Winnipeg

With a combined 7 wins last year, this year's two undefeated teams at 3-0 each go head to head.  Clash of the titans, and there can be only one who remains undefeated after tonight.

Looks to be a fantastic day weather wise, with a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a SW wind at 14 KM/H come game time.

For those not at the game (and really, if you are in town, you should come to the game to help reach our first sell out), join us in the chat room come game time.

  • I feel that a month ago, not only would everyone be ******* ecstatic for a 3-1 start, they would be laughed out of the place for even suggesting it

  • Just went over the passing plays, Willy was about 2.95 seconds, snap to release. About .25 - .35 longer than you would like for an average. His footwork was quite sloppy to start the game, settled dow

Not a great night tonight obviously. It's bound to happen in an 18 game season. There will be good nights and bad nights. Have to move on and get ready for B.C. At the end of the day, 3-1 is a great p

Had a quick look at what some esks fans were saying leading up to the game, quite a lot of arrogance there, let's put them in their place.

Esks suffering from overconfidence. Home crowd will inspire our team. Reilly will be running for his life. Bombers 4-0.

It's going to be LOUD. This work-day can't end fast enough.

We will really see how good the Esks D is best offence they have faced so far.

Working tonight in Red Deer, but will PVR and watch as soon as I get home....go blue!! #GameDayWeAllPlay

Bombers have a top offense.  Esks have a top defense.

Bombers have an average O line.  Esks have an elite front 7.

Bomber offense doesn't turn the ball over much.  Esks defense creates turnovers.

Esks have an average offense with big play capability.  Bombers have an above average defense with big play capability.

Esks run game is based on Reilly running.  Bombers run stopping has been way better than expected.

Esks have a poor O line.  Bombers haven't been creating a lot of pressure with their front 7.

Bombers FG kicking has been lights out.  Esks, not so much.

Bombers have home field advantage.

Neither team has played as good a team as the other this year.

I'm expecting a hard hitting, close game, with the Bombers coming out on top.

TOP will be the biggest factor in this game.  We control the clock and tire their D out with long possessions, and the rest will take care of itself.

This game is going to be a big disappointment for one team; one team has to suffer their first loss.  Here's hoping that team is Edmonton

I am still nervous about our defense giving up 30+ points last game (and two of the drives they were on the field were defensive TD's - awesome, but that meant most of Mtrl's drives were scoring drives - how many I'd have to go deeper).  It was very refreshing to see our offense step up and match that.

Still picked Winnipeg - I suspect the defense will want a good rebound game (and continue to force turnovers) and hopefully our OL will gel and give Willy the time he needs (and he'll get back to the quick release from the first game).  We also have to establish a semblance of a running game - seemed like a noticeable difference in the last game compared to the others (and coincidentally Willy got drilled more.. hmmmmm)

Anyone know of anywhere I can stream tonight's game?

I've heard a bit of talk from co-workers so far, only one has been willing to follow through their talk with a wager when I offer it up, so I'm eating free tomorrow if the Bombers win tonight.

We are going to beat them like a soggy pickle.

Can't wait to get to IGF.  I Wonder what the ticket count is right now.

I am going to start drinking as soon as I finish the selection table for the Killer griller post game power tool fight.

Last one was a hoot.

What do you have to eat if they lose?

We are going to beat on them, until the sauce runs out in front......

Really excited for tonight's game.  I really think that as a team we have made huge strides, and it would be awesome to be 4-0.

Mind you, can you really be disappointed with a 3-1 start?

Forgot to add I am quite excited to see two of the up and coming QB's face off tonight..

Got my brand new early 90s era Bolden jersey waiting for me when I get there tonight! Can't wait to see Randle do his best Bolden impression.

It will all come down to our o line...they can't get pushed around again...
